  1. 29 lbs since the 31st? Or including pre-op? If that's not including pre-op, that's insane!! Either way, congrats to you! That is not including pre-op! But my SW was higher than most at 394... So that's probably why. But I am thrilled either way ????
  2. The same thing happened to me about a year after my lap band surgery. My fiancée and I were on our way to NYC and I got so nauseated on the train I had to lay my head on his lap. By the time we got to Penn station I was laying on the floor crying from the pain and nausea! I was able to catch the next train home with my fiancée feeding me sips of cool water the whole way. Long story short, I had my gallbladder removed the next day as emergency surgery. My surgeon told me if he had not taken it out, I would not have been able to eat or drink without extreme pain. Take my advice and get it done ASAP! Please don't end up like I did in the middle of Penn station scaring the tourists lol
  3. I noticed about 3 days post-op that my feet were super skinny! I know its strange but I was absolutely elated. Some of my flip flops come right off now when I'm walking in them. I wanted a skinnier waist , but if I have to start with my feet, that's fine too! ????
  4. @@leighannnn1791 I'm sorry you didn't like them! My favorite flavor right now is icy orange and I'm trying the green tea this evening. I'll let you know how it goes lol
  5. @@leighannnn1791 have you tried ready made isopure? It comes in a bunch of juice flavors
  6. I'm August 31st too, and glad to hear all of you are doing well for the most part! I write in my phone everyday my intake so I can see how I'm doing. I've been getting 45gms a day of Protein which is below the 60-80 I should but its getting better. I debate if I should drink Water or the protein at any given time since I don't have any hunger pangs yet. The random gas pains are my biggest issue. I finally went out shopping today and was able to walk around for about an hour, with breaks in between. I go for my follow up on Tuesday and can't wait to see how much weight I've lost so far!
  7. I had surgery on 8/31 as well, and it can get a little boring being on the liquid phase. But to help me push through, I drink different flavors of protein drinks (I use isopure), and try to add different seasonings to my broths. Just take it a day at a time and you'll be done before you know it! ????
  8. Congratulations on your weight loss so far! I need to get a scale, its one of the things I forgot to pick up before my surgery! My 1 week follow up is on Tuesday and I'm curious to see if I lost anything yet. ????
  9. @@belindadcns I am 3 days post-op from having my band removed and revised with the sleeve. Best of luck to you with your surgery!!!
  10. @@Pejela thanks for the tip... Last night and this morning I haven been able to pass gas here and there and it makes me feel so much better! Amazing how painful gas can be.
  11. @@monieanne and @@Awjones28 thanks for the response... I will be walking again in a second!
  12. Anyone have any other tips for the gas pain? I've been walking around and sipping, just got home from the hospital today. I can burp but it seems I can't get the lower gas out yet.
  13. I am having my surgery in 17 hours, and while this is my third surgery ever, I feel like my emotions have not caught up to me yet. I go back and forth between slight nervousness and nothing at all. Like all the months of work to get to this point which once seemed like an eternity are now just a blink of an eye. I believe what you're feeling is normal and I wish you the best of luck on this rewarding journey!
  14. @@Trayjay33 thank you so much for your kind support. I'm very excited for my future with this revision and I'm glad to hear you have had a good experiences!
  15. Every surgeon is different, I have to do my diet for 3 weeks prior... I started on the 10th it is NOT easy lol
  16. You're in good company! We have the same surgery date too. Did you start your pre-op diet yet? I had to start mine last week.
  17. Good luck lady!!! You will do fantastic! ????????????
  18. @@Meley24 Thank you so much. I will definitely be posting during my post-op and I hope you keep posting as well! Now if I can just get through this pre-op diet I'd be thrilled! Lol
  19. Pinkgirl1234 she had issues with her lap band continuously slipping, eventually it eroded. She lost 58 lbs in the first 4 months... Every time I saw her she just seemed to be melting away. She is starting to plateau now bit has lost over 90 lbs. She said she is going to start exercising now as she hasn't since her surgery.
  20. Yeah I hear you, the liquid diet is definitely something that you need to take a day at a time. I hope you do well!
  21. I'm August 31st... Super excited! ????
  22. Close, I'm August 31st! Best of luck!
  23. Thank you so much for sharing. I wish you much Success with your journey... Its one day at a time!
  24. Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be kind! ???? On March 5th, 2012 I had lap band surgery. My HW then was 371lbs., SW was 350 lbs. And within a year I lost about another 72lbs. After that, I seemed to hit a brick wall, and had issues with keeping things down. Long story short, I went to see my surgeon after another vomiting episode and had emergency gallbladder removal the next day. Ever since then, I had more and more issues with my band to the point where I had to go to the ER and have all my fluid removed due to constant slipping. Since that point my weight gain has sky rocketed from 384, to 391, and now 398! My heaviest weight ever! I have taken full responsibility for going off the handles since my band was deflated, but I am excited for this revision and to get my life back on track. Has anyone else had similar issues? Any and all stories are appreciated, its nice to feel like you're not alone. Best of luck to everyone on their WLJ!!! ????
  25. I remember after having my lap band (I am currently preparing for a revision), isopure ready made protein drinks were my lifesaver in the sipping stage. I couldn't stomach a regular protein shake due to the thicker consistency and I was sick of the taste. Isopure is just that, pure protein with 0 carbs and has almost a juice/sports drink taste I'd different flavors. I hope this helps you!
