  2. My thoughts exactly. I bring my own seatbelt extender just in case. The tray never goes all the way down. Every time I get upset about this pre op I think of things like that
  3. I can only do protein shakes water and broth. I've been tempted to cheat so many times. I see all these people who got to eat and I wonder why I can't. Anyone else just doing liquid

  5. I'm the 24th in Madison Wisconsin . Not sure how to use this site too well yet, but would love to stay in touch. How's pre op going. Day 3 for me and I'm so not liking this
  6. I've had a protein shake every 3 hours and water in between. I'm so hungry, please tell me it gets better
  7. My surgery date is the 24th, I start pre op tomorrow. I went from excited to nervous. I know it's all mental, I just can't cope with the part of having to be in pain and eating icky foods. Hopefully I can find something that can get me thru this. Good luck
  8. Tomorrow is my first day as well. I feel the same way. I just keep telling myself to keep busy and the end result will be worth it
  9. I had at least 2 protein shakes a day and either steak or chicken and veggies for dinner. List 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I remember the nurse calling and saying no surgery till you loose 10 pounds, you would have swore she said I had to loose 100. Surgery set for the 24th
  10. I'm 47 282lbs. I'm not being sleeved until July. I feel like I'm eating whatever I want because I'm going to be sleeved. When I know I should be getting my mind a and body ready. Anyone else out there like that? I just want it to work for me
  11. I'm not having my surgery until July. I totally have the same mind set as you. I keep asking myself why can't I just do this on my own. Reading all these stories of how happy people are that they had the surgery helps. The fear of the New Normal makes me nervous. Good luck, can't wait to hear your journey.
  12. YeAh I see 5 different doctors to mow. Diet psyc surgeon
  13. I'm going in for my 8 hour deal talking to psyc dr etc.. Just sitting here with a pen and paper and can think of much to ask. Just nervous
  14. I am being sleeved then 2.5 months later I'm supposed to go on a Alaskan cruise. Worried that it may be to soon. Very expensive trip. Any thoughts. Where were you after two months

  16. Very nervous. I had bladder cancer they removed my bladder in return I have a hernia. Surgeon I went to said I need to loose weight or hernia repair won't work. It's not any ordinary hernia it's one close to my colon. It colon get twisted I'm sol. So he suggested the sleeve so I wouldn't gain the weight back. I'm in shock I'm scared. Just needing to hear some good stories about the sleeve. Any regrets????
