  1. Thank you so much for putting a name to it! I'll look into that.
  2. Hello! I'm wondering if anyone has experienced feeling very sad after eating. I am 8 months post op and have lost 130lbs. I have gotten accustomed to the high protien diet and do not 'grieve' food anymore but just recently I have felt very sad after eating. I don't think this is an emotional thing. I'm very happy with my food choices. It seems it may be more of a chemical thing. I thought it may be because of too many carbs so I started watching that very closely. It will occur even if I do not have carbs or a lot of carbs. Today I had about 2-3 ounces of grilled chicken with red/green peppers & onions. Like a fajita without the tortilla! It wasn't a big meal at all and although I felt physically satisfied I became SO sad almost immediately after my meal One important point is I had not eaten much today- this was the first thing I had beside some an iced coffee several hourS before that did have some sugar. 18g There are other days where I eat earlier, grab a good Protein as I head to work & feel extremely sad after eating. Any insight would be appreciated! I'll probably try to call my nutritionist on Monday. : )

  11. Oh! I forgot to say...just my opinion...so you can't hold me accountable for being rude. Also, "this is a public forum" because I've come to learn that you're also supposed to add that, too.
  12. Please show me where I was nasty and rude. I simply related a story about how I am raising my children. In fact, show where anyone was nasty and rude OTHER than the people who are pointing out the "nasty and rude" in others. That's usually how it goes here. The ones screaming the loudest about others are usually the ONLY ones pointing fingers and calling names. It's amusing at best. If you weren't rude why are you commenting? My response was toward one person and we have addressed the issue. Now if there is something you want to say to me specifically, feel free. Strangers on the internet can't hurt my feelings.Oh my God Lipstick Lady, I wasn't even talking get about you. My thought is this, quote the person you are talking to, or refer to them out right. If you don't have the stones to call them out, block them, ignore them or PM them. Things get real confusing on these interwebz... I did call them outright. Sorry you missed it I understand you were probably busy defending yourself when no one was actually talking to you.

  14. No. Some people can state their opinion with out being rude & others just like to be rude & nasty. It's old.
  15. Looks like Babbs is at it again!
  16. You look wonderful!! You have always given such good, level-headed, kind advice on here. I noticed you mentioned you were close to goal recently I actually thought, "I can't wait to see her photos!" Congratulations! You're such an inspiration.
  17. I'll be thinking about you on Thursday! I was self pay also & they scheduled my surgery very quickly, I think within a month to 6 weeks.
  18. Hi! I was sleeved in August at Bariatric Center of Kansas City in Lenexa & down 90 lbs. Any KC area people want to get together & talk about our experience?
  19. I think a lot of Dr. Hoehn. I've struggled with some of the staff. They seem to he very overwhelmed with all the patients. I was hoping for a more personal relationship although I feel they may have gotten too big for that. Dr. Hoehn did a wonderful job. The surgery & recovery went great. The nurses were wonderful. If you are struggling with the staff, please let the office staff know. I did & it made a difference. I've lost well. I had surgery mid-August & have lost 60lbs. I have a lot to lose. Please let me know anything you may need. I'd be happy to help.
  20. Hi! I'm glad you started this post because I was interested in reading about other 400+ stories. I was 450 when I started my pre op liquid diet. Day of sugery, August 18, 2015 is was 425. It'll be 2 months post op tomorrow & I've lost 57lbs. I'm lucky to not have any complications. I did have a stall for a couple weeks & really struggled mentally with that. I had a 2 month follow up & was told if I increased my calories from 500 to 800 I would loss better. Time will tell! Good luck to you!
  21. Depression can absolutely be treated WITHOUT medication.
  22. Thank you very much for the great advice. Yes, my NUT suggests no snacking which contridicts the Protein intake suggestion. I've emailed about that but have not heard back. I do write everything down & I have 30 minutes of activity everyday. It's not all at once because I'm just not able to get to there yet but I'm working up to it. I like your sample day & may try that. I do had things/try different things to get my Water in. That's where I'm failing but I'll try to push through!
  23. I am getting good Protein in. I write down my foods & as mentioned it's 2oz of protein 3x/day. I'm not able to drink all the suggested Water because of feeling very nauseous. I understand not constantly losing, before surgery I thought I would. I feel like I'm losing precious time where I should be losing weight. I'm disappointed that my NUT & PA aren't accessible. I'm feeling like I made this huge change and sacrificed so many things from many parts of my life for very little change.
