Hello! I'm wondering if anyone has experienced feeling very sad after eating.
I am 8 months post op and have lost 130lbs. I have gotten accustomed to the high protien diet and do not 'grieve' food anymore but just recently I have felt very sad after eating.
I don't think this is an emotional thing. I'm very happy with my food choices. It seems it may be more of a chemical thing.
I thought it may be because of too many carbs so I started watching that very closely. It will occur even if I do not have carbs or a lot of carbs.
Today I had about 2-3 ounces of grilled chicken with red/green peppers & onions. Like a fajita without the tortilla!
It wasn't a big meal at all and although I felt physically satisfied I became SO sad almost immediately after my meal
One important point is I had not eaten much today- this was the first thing I had beside some an iced coffee several hourS before that did have some sugar. 18g
There are other days where I eat earlier, grab a good Protein as I head to work & feel extremely sad after eating.
Any insight would be appreciated!
I'll probably try to call my nutritionist on Monday.
