    Out-of-pocket? Ohio

I had surgery at University of Cincinnati West Chester and UC offered a 12K plan that included everything. Check with them to see if they have any deals. My friend went to Dr. Curry. I actually work for UC and only $3500 was covered. I paid $9800 out of pocket and that was a 50% discount. I should have gone with the 12K deal initially...lol

2 months til 2 years VSG

I will be 2 years 4/29. I lost the full feeling signal at about 6 months. I've been a slow loser and have gained 15 pounds since my low of 161 2/28/17. I stayed in the 160's until about November 2017 and have now bounced between 170-176. I definitely have my hunger back and have incorporated all the naughty foods back into my diet. Some days I get full quickly and other days not so much. Trying to get back on track. I'm having a hard time with finding a diet that works for me. I've tried low carb, Keto, Paleo and Whole 30. I just want to be normal and eat like a regular person. I'm sick of protein, sick of protein drinks and would love to not feel guilty every time a carb passes my lips.
  4. I've been using Genepro and overall love the product. I have noticed a calorie difference of 57 to 98 calories for the same scoop but different containers. Does anyone know why?

@@Tssiemer1 - Ugh I just saw your post. Cdiff ain't no joke. Hope you're better. I had a follow up appointment today with Ivan. Things are going great I'm down to 176, 26 pounds until my first goal. I thought I was losing pretty slow but Ivan was pleased with my progress. I did labs and everything is in the normal range. Labs are better than what they were pre-surgery. Hope every one is doing great. Lisa

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I checked in. Things are going well. I have been busy with the kids and counting down their return to school. Weight loss is going well. I'm down to 183 and feeling great. I am going to start boot camp on 8/17. I haven't done any strenuous exercise, only walking, so I anticipate some body changes and weight loss to follow. My food is about 900 calories a day. Protein 90 g, Carbs 56 g, Fats 35 g My clothing is almost nothing because I have shrunk out of everything. I have gone down from an 18/20 to a 14 and a 1X/2X top to a L. I am going to check out consignment and Goodwill for some work pants. Nothing seems to bother my sleeve food wise. Hope things are going well for you guys. Tssiemer hope you're feeling better.

Returned from Disney today, was gone 9 days and ..... Drum roll please, I lost 4 pounds! I weighed 197.4 today. I am beyond excited. I'm in ONDERLAND!

Doing well. I've been on a 13 day stall that broke today. Hoping to see a loss Friday. I only lost .4 last week. I'm almost to Onederland too! I have about 5 pounds to go. I am almost one month out, it went by fast. We leave for Disney a week from Friday and I would be so happy to be under 200. My stomach has become super itchy. I'm noticing a change in the way my clothes fit. People at work are commenting, asking if I've lost weight so that's exciting.

    12 days post op...

I'm three weeks post op (surgery 4/29) and have done the same thing. Just because I'm able to eat cheese sticks and ground beef with spaghetti sauce doesn't mean I should. I have been the same weight for 10 days. Realistically my head knows there is no way I could be gaining weight eating 500-800 calories, the stall has been getting the best of me. I have pulled out my one month post op diet information and will going back to my full liquids. I feel great, feel no restriction and everything I've eaten has been no problem. Hoping to reel my diet back in now.

I'm doing good. I have been the same weight since Friday and started my period Monday. Hoping for a loss when I weigh in Friday. Honestly sometimes I forget I've had the surgery. No pain and able to drink big gulps of water/protein shakes. HW 229.8 SW 218.0 CW 206.6

@@Tssiemer1 sorry your not feeling well. Try to move around too and not just recline/lay down in bed or on the couch. Two weeks out and it hardly feels like I had surgery. Scabs and bruising on incisions are gone, I'm able to gulp fluids and feel the restriction when eating yogurt or soups. It gets better but you have to get moving and sip water like its a job!

One week post op and I feel really good. Barely any incisional pain left. I feel like I can bigger drinks of water, well more than a sip. I've just been eating soup, yogurt and protein drinks or shakes. My daughters birthday is the weekend and we are having a party tomorrow. I had to go into Subway (smelled like heaven) and GiGi's cupcake to order food and cupcakes for her party. She has to have surgery to remove her Thyroid on Thursday so it will be really hard to to stress eat with a 4 oz pouch. I need to take food with me to the hospital because she'll be in a few days. Hope everyone has a good weekend! HW 229.8 (pre-op) CW 211.4

@@bcostasbiggs - I drank a premier Bananas & Cream (30 g) this morning and it took about an hour to drink. I have been eating yogurt and cheddar broccoli soup with unflavored protein. It's actually easier for me to do the soup, shakes and yogurt than drink water. I've only got 12 oz of water over the last 3 hours. I love water but sometimes it hurts when it goes down.

It's going to be a great day! I pooped first thing this morning and that is the first time I pooped since surgery, yeah me! I also have 30g of protein in before 7:00 am. Still have a little pain on the left side but very manageable. I was awake all day yesterday and went to bed at 10 p. I slept good until 5:30 a. Each day it gets better.

Doing pretty good. I slept in my bed last night 10 p - 5 a. I'm going to try really hard to get my water in today. The shakes and yogurt go down so much better than the water. I weighed to 218.0 today which is less than surgery weight, looking forward to the scale moving. I haven't had a bowel movement since Thursday., but I've been passing tons of gas.
