  1. I had posted about my face being dry on a support group on Facebook I am part of. I ended up using some whipped coconut oil that we had from my little girl when she was a baby. I bought a big jar of coconut oil from costco and my sister in law whipped it. It works good and doesn't cost much. It also does not have an lady like smells added to it. A little on my face and hands in the AM and I'm good to go.
  2. I had something similar happen to me. Not burning, but more like a pressure pain in my upper stomach area. It is when I eat too fast. I am really bad about that. I am finding that since I don't get as hungry as often, if I have waited too long to eat, I end up eating too fast.
  3. Some people hate the new adjustments we have to make for eating. It can be challenging, but I find it to be a good creative outlet for me to play with. Finding new things, trying to mix this with that. I have always loved to cook. I have still been making dinners for my extended family, even after surgery. Its fun to show them what I can do with things they would normally never look at, let alone eat.
  4. https://www.waldenfarms.com/products/syrup_pancake.html They make all kinds of stuff. Salad Dressing, BBQ sauce, syrup. Be careful though, they are not cheap, and some are not that good. I have the honey bbq sauce. It is edible. I am a meat head who loves to smoke meats. I have not tried this on the grill yet. Thanks for telling me about vita cost. looks like a good source for many different things.
  5. I mashed up some strawberries the first time I made them. Oh, and I couldn't eat both pancakes. I am also going to try a product by Walden Farms. Sugar Free Pancake Syrup. World Market. In Michigan ,we have World Market stores inside some Bed Bath and Beyond Stores. happened to see it one day. It will change your life.
  6. Have you seen, or tried, the Torani Sugar Free Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Syrup? I love it on plain oatmeal (pre-op) and on cream of wheat. It actually made cream of wheat an edible source of food.
  7. Oh, one more that I found last week at Vitamin Shoppe. http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/p28-foods-p28-high-protein-pancake-mix-white-chocolate-16-oz-powder/psb1001#.ViEiB-k6NUM Pancake Mix! the flavor is deceiving. It doesn't taste much like white chocolate, but it does taste good! And it's easy. And sometimes easy is better than hard.
  8. These look good. http://store.bariatricpal.com/collections/protein-bars/products/bariatricpal-vanilla-wafer-bar-7-bars-per-box
  9. I have. My issue is the low Protein to calorie ratio. Over 200 calories for only 13 grams of protein doesn't seem like much of a bargain to me. The Combat Crunch bars I've switched to have 20 grams of protein for the same amount of calories. This is true. I also remember them having a slightly higher sugar and carb count than a traditional Protein Bar. I think I like them more as an occasional snack, rather than an meal replacement/main source of Protein.
  10. Hello, I am in Farmington, MI. I went through St. John Providence Weight Loss Center. Dr. Katz, at the Oakland (Madison Hgts.) location. Had the sleeve on August 26th. I have been doing very well with everything. Happy to answer any and all questions and provide any guidance I can. @@ITGeekGirl, I love GR area. Have been over for Art Prize several years now. My Brother-in-Law went to GV and lives over there. Great City!
  11. HaHaHa! Yeah if its going to be something I eat that brings me down, it better be the real thing!
  12. They might go good with a no sugar added low fat frozen yogurt. The outside chocolate is like a normal peanut butter cup taste. The inside is like they packed a pocket full of dry pb2 powder in it. Its very dry. Like, you might as well visit a desert and eat a plate of sand.
  13. Usually a half of the small cup of yogurt with fruit before my workout. My favorite go to post workout breakfast is smoked salmon with scrambled eggs with cheese and some fruit.
  14. I just had the vanilla one the other day. Found it at Vitamin Shoppe. Amazing how good they are. I also found Quest brand Peanut Butter Cups. Those are a little rough to handle.
  15. Hi Dub! Just getting hip to this conversation. Glad to hear everything went well. Wishing you luck man, but judging from this convo, you'll kill it with or without luck!
  16. Hello All! I also just had the Sleeve in August. I live in Farmington. I had mine through St. John's Oakland. I am on a support group on Facebook and have gone to some of their meetings. Its nice to meet you all.
