hello my sisters in Christ; please pray that I can be patient and that God will see to it that THIS SURGERY will be approved for me to have. I know it is in Gods will that that this could only happen for me. I am just starting this journey and hope to be ready set and go by Jan . I hope all goes well. I couldn't have sped this up at all since Insurance is requiring the wait of time. Has anyone else had to wait too? Bless you all

i'm new to this, i'm 46 and i'm just starting this road. I should have surgery once I complete this required 6 mo process should be Jan. Seems like it will take forever. I am so depressed with myself yet insprired by all the stories here. I thought this was only for the 20's and 30's somethings. I am glad to find many more are doing this for themselves in their 40s. I am over the "what will people say, and how to respond" fear. I don't care about anyones comments anymore. I want this for me. I am so wanting to feel better, sleep better and breathe better when I walk or anything for that matter. I have many ideas and dreams for myself. Thank you for all your posts. It was so good to see them all. I PRAY this will speed up.

how I feel daily; never thought i'd have enough courage to bare my soul on a forum like this, but the only place where many people are the same as me. I decided to try this out. I have nutrician appt coming up next week. I have to wait according to insurance till Jan after completing my classes. I am ready. Take it al in. Finally can look at myself and tell this ol'girl hey you deserve a new begining in your later forties to give yourself a better quality of life. I come from a family of eaters, family of health problems and I just need to look out for me. Well, i thank all of you out there who have helped me with this choice. It took a lot of before and afters, tears watching these videos and posts for me to say....Man girl, that is your life your story too......Thank you peeps wish me luck on this baby step journey to the final outcome.

thank you Southern Sleever..... I hope i'm doing everything right. I have read alot of people had to do the pursuing themselves and i just want to make sure i'm lining up all my ducks. I origiannly was going to go through with surgery earlier in the year and then decided to give W.Watchers one last hoorah attempt. Failed...., so then my mind wrapped soley on the VSG. I am so tired of the oel' "she has a pretty face" comments with the underline meaning to that phrase and the health problems that i've began to experience that i'm ready. I am going thru the hurdles and just not sure as I haven't heard from one person who has had HEALTHNET if there are any probs with declines or approvals. i am so worried about if I get declined after this.....ugh..prayers please

hi i'm new here, this decision was extrememly hard for me to admit I needed help. i finally agreed and begun the long process through HealthNet (anyone else) i have to wait 6 months for all the hoops. I have my nutrician appt on the 1st of Sept and already did the Physical Therapy. I guess they just need to see that i'm capable of working out. I do this anyways. I am discouraged by the whole 6 month wait thing. My referring doctor dosen't have an appt with me again until late Jan? then will schedule me with a surgeon. I guess i'm to continue with the nutrician classes and then am I to schedule the upper GI myself or does the doctor when i go back in Jan? Same with the physc? i'm so confused. I wish I knew more what to expect. Maybe the nutricianist helps me with this? Not sure....can anyone advise me? feeling....blue

hi congrats on your surgery. Who is your provider if you don't mind me asking. I have HealthNet and I haven't seen much of them on this blog page. I'm nervous.I don't think I get my surgery until next year. I have to do the whole 6 month wait period. I started in July and don't go back to my doctor until Jan. I did the Physical Therapy and started Nutrician. I'm bummed; i know time goes by fast but so discouraged by how long out i have to wair.
