I can't speak from experience but I can say my doctor said to contact him if I can't keep my nutrients down... so that is first. Another idea, could you have a problem with milk- allergy or lactose intolerance? There are some shakes that are lactose free... Syntrax nectar comes to mind...

LOL I live in south AL (right above the FL line) but I'm having my surgery in Huntsville (parents live there) so I'll be commuting right past you!!!

@@Alex Brecher I'll be glad to see you offering products we need in one convenient place as long as you can do it for reasonable prices and shipping cost. I live in a small town so other than Walmart most of my shopping for specialty items are purchased online. Amazon is where I go first to look for something I need...

Hi all, I just got a box of sample Syntrax nectar packages. The packages say to mix 2-4 oz of water/milk with 1/4 of the package? I'd like to hear from people who like Syntrax Nectar, your experiences with using it. Do you dump the package into a container to try to divide it into 4ths, Has anyone figured out a measurement for a 1/4 a package (i.e. 2 tablespoons, 3 tablespoons, 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon???). Do you like it better with a different portion of Water to mix (6oz water with 2 tablespoons of mix, etc...). Do you like certain flavors better with more or less water? I know some of this is up to a person's taste but I really would like to know what someone has found works for them!! I am really curious as to how different people use their Syntrax Nectar. Thanks!!!

LOL our son is 17 and I doubt anything goes on around here that he doesn't know about...my hubby is terrible about keeping something to himself... I talked to my son about it and we had a pretty frank discussion about the pro and cons and the risk with surgery and the risk if I don't do the surgery... He is very supportive, he said his greatest wish is that I'll be healthy, happy, and around for a long time!!!

If you do decide to buy a home gym, look for one used. Sooooo many people buy them and don't use them that you can probably find a great buy!! We have one someone gave us when they were moving (my hubby & son use it). Them main problem I have with our home gym is having enough room for it... It takes up room just sitting there but you need even more room while you are using it... And I need it pulled even further away from any walls or furniture just so I can get around it to even try to use it!!! I was really surprised at how much room we needed... So that means it is in the basement (yes nice finished basement but still down stairs and away from everyone else....). The treadmill however is in the living room (and I'm still not fond of using it)!!!

Oh so many good thoughts... I want to be proud to stand next to my son in pictures for his graduation in May!!! AND he plans to attend college where I went and I want to look forward to walking around campus with my son telling him all about the good times!

I live about 2 1/2 hrs NE from Mobile In Covington County. How cool that you have family in Humtsville too!!!

I just found out today too that I'm scheduled for Aug 24th!! I have 2 weeks of 2 shakes a day with meal of 4-6oz Protein with 1/2 cup of veggies so starting Monday!!! LOL Monnie815 I don't live too far from Mobile but I'm going to Huntsville, AL to stay with my parents when I have my surgery.

I'm scheduled for Aug 24th and I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I start my preop diet on Monday!!
