Embrace the Stall
I'm so happy to have read this post. Thank you so much for inspiring and motivating those of us who don't understand what's going on their bodies all the time. I have stalled for a little over two months, and finally am losing again. I have just made a huge milestone, 100lbs lost! But to embrace the stall...YES!! It makes perfect sense, my body is readjusting to allow for the changes occurring now. I'm celebrating ALL the successes that I'm making, and focusing on taking every day one at a time. Thanks again, SurferGirl!!

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers
I'm praying you are going to recover quickly with as little pain as possible. Hopefully they will find out what the problem is, why that happened to you.

please share the microwave in a cup protein recipe
Oh, how wonderful these cake recipes are! Thank you all for sharing. I just made my first one...it was a little dry, so I thought to myself, hmmm...OH! I know, I've got strawberries in the fridge that I thawed out yesterday, they have some liquid on the bottom, let me add that. The liquid, along with a few of the strawberries made it so good! Hubby, who has not done the GSS but is on my diet, tasted it, and his eyes popped wide open. "Make more!!" was the cry. I've found a winner!

Psych Evaluation Was I Too Friendly?
I have the same issue, I just can't seem to get enough water in my system! Ugh...I have recently begun to give myself reminders to drink, I use my iPhone to notify me after an hour has expired to DRINK! It seems to be working, I'm starting to be more aware of getting water into my system now. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Psych Evaluation Was I Too Friendly?
You sound like a wonderful person, I'm a hugger too...and I know she didn't mind. You are excited about the upcoming surgery, lots of us were, I still am. I was nervous about meeting with the psychiatrist, but they know where our minds are. You probably made her day!!

Low BMI slow losing encouragement welcome!
I'm happy to see this post, too. My surgeon told me that I'll "stall"... and that's exactly what is happening. I get discouraged and tend to lose focus, but when it's time to eat something, I keep having to tell myself that this decision was for LIFE. I'm doing my best to think of food as fuel, I will eventually get there. I'm just glad that there is a forum for all of us here. Hang in there, you are not alone. I know it will get better for you!

Surgery Monday. I'm about to back out!
You mentioned your kids, I'll bet they are rooting for you, and that has to be a huge motivator for you. My husband is a manly man, too...and even though he didn't get the surgery, he is on the same weight loss track as I am. I know he misses the stuff he used to enjoy, but he really likes how he feels now. He is so encouraging and keeps telling me "Thank you" because if I hadn't gotten the sleeve, he would not have lost the lbs. The reason I'm telling you this is because he's a much happier, healthier man. I know you will be, too. Please hang in there and do what you know you need to do. I'm certainly not sorry I did the GSS, and I promise you won't regret your decision. Look to the future, you won't be missing anything important because you are not eating or drinking a specific thing. You're going to have a different frame of mind about how to be successful and take back control of what you want your life to be all about. I wish you all the best in all you do.

We’re approaching post number…4 million!
Joining this forum was the best thing I have done to give and receive encouraging posts. The vast majority of the people who participate in the threads have been nothing but helpful and supportive in every way. I'm grateful for each and every one, and I'm proud to be a part of this community.

Disappointed with Bariatric Pal store
I certainly appreciate your quick response, Alex. I'm looking forward to using these patches as opposed to chunky pills. Thanks again.

Disappointed with Bariatric Pal store
I am still waiting for my order, however I understand the move and how difficult it is to get a new system in place. I'll be patient, as long as they do respond to me. I ordered multivitamin patches and calcium patch. Hopefully I'll see them fairly soon.

Gotta get this off my chest ...
I'm sorry you had to go through that. I get compliments that seem to come from the left as well. Most of them are not trying to be malicious. And believe it or not, some people are very jealous because they know what you're going to end up looking like. But I find for the most part that people are just simply trying to be supportive, they are just awkward and giving complements. Good luck on your journey, and keep your head up!

December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?
Congratulations on all you new sleevers! To do it right before Christmas is very brave indeed. Mine was this year on November 17 right before Thanksgiving! It was tough, but I kept my goals in mind. One of you says that you are going through some pain, this will pass very very quickly. Stay strong and remember what you're doing and why you're doing it. I'm still very new myself, but this is such a great forum, all everyone does is simply help and encourage and inspire. Stay strong! Speaking of protein powders, I really like the whey chocolate flavored isolates. They make me feel very full and give me loads of protein.

December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?
Wow! I was lucky, then. I stayed overnight... Surgery was in the early hours then I slept all day, they did get me up to walk every 4 hours. Went home the next day.

Lots of lbs flying off, is this much normal?
It's been one month today tomorrow. I stalled after two weeks, then picked back up again. I sure do appreciate the helpful comments. I'm 54 years old, if that makes a difference to anyone. Now I am at 30 pounds. On solid foods finally!

Lots of lbs flying off, is this much normal?
I just got the operation November 16. I'm already down 25 pounds. I am doing everything that is required, lots of liquids and waiting every ounce of food. I'll tell you one thing, I can't wait to start puréed foods! It's going to feel great! I just started exercising at the gym yesterday, as well. I'm feeling really good!

Puree Stage - Recipe/ideas
I have just copied these amazing sounding recipes. I am on day 14, and I'm ready for my puréed stage! These sound amazing. Anyone hear of the Boston market purée? I'm not sure where he heard that, but it sounds like it might be yummy. Don't know about all of the ingredients, however. Also I've heard that Hormel chili's are good as well. Anyone hear any different?
