  1. Call your PcP or surgeon for them to order the Vitamin work up. I am losing a lot of hair as well and my PCP said it could be my Iron levels. I see my surgeon tomorrow to go over my test results so I am curious to see what they are. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Make sure you get the "light" version. I know at this stage we are eating so little but still keep in check the carbs and sodium that's in the soup Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Shelly's ricotta bake.. Google the recipe. It was amazing as my first meal on the puréed stage. I may just have to make it again lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. My pre-op visit was Dec 1st. Right after my last class for my 6 month supervised diet. My surgery was Jan 12th. I left my Pre Op visit with my date. My insurance didn't approve until the week of Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. My doctor used it as well. The only part he did beside me and not at the joy stick was the ending where he removed the stomach. The only incision that bothered me was the large one to the left of my belly button. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I got a body pillow and it really helped with the side/belly sleeping..,I still use it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm 3+ months out and I still have bouts of this painful situation. Far from the taking any opioids period. I've been tempted to eat a Big Mac to clean the pipes (calm down I'm just kidding). Truly this was one new thing I wasn't expecting to experience. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Haha... I have a little joke when I swallow my gum... "Oh crap!! Gum takes 7 years to digest, my stomach is so small I guess I won't be eating for a while.. ". Seriously though you'll be fine
  9. There is a lot of issues with the band. Most surgeons do not even offer them anymore. Why are you not sure of the sleeve? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. 1/2 cup is normal at this stage. Yogurt does have nutritional values so not much of a slider food. It helps with your vitamins and protein intake and also counts toward your liquid intake.
  11. They sell it at bed bath and beyond...as always look for their 20% off coupon Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Oh wow didn't know they had that much sugar. I never looked into them I just seen them on the shelve at walmart. I think I will try the protein water if I can find that at walmart today. Thanks Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App Another rule of thumb I go by is 10 cal per gram of protein. Every company is on the protein supplement craze and finding a good source can be troubling. A drink or bar with 10 grams of protein shouldn't be more than 100 calories Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. The "big stitch" on the left side is where they removed your stomach. Out of that rather small incision they pulled that large part of your removed stomach. It will ease after a few weeks. Hang in there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Are you on soft foods? I was on a liquid diet for 2 weeks post surgery. You are still healing. Your stomach is still swollen. Wait another week before trying anything other than the liquid food (jello, strained Soup & yogurt included) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. What does your surgeon office say are your odds of getting approved? Have you called the pre authorization department with your insurance? Ask them what the criteria is.
  16. You need to relax and quit reading articles on the Internet. Follow your surgeons instructions, rest and heal. Believe me this time period will end. As your stomach heals you will be able to eat more. I am 3 months out now and things are going great. Aside from your surgeon maybe you should talk to the Dr that did your Pysch evaluation. They will be able to help you through this... But please stop reading internet articles...
  17. I was a double D now Im fitting in Cs. I'm kinda sad they're shrinking, really sad they are sagging lol. Definitely will be looking into plastics to help the girls out Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Who's you surgeon? I went to DR. You at Franklin Square Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. We're heading to Vegas in May!! I can't wait to explore the area and go back to the canyon, the last time was 7 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. They sell this brand there? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App Yes..more companies are trying to make the same kind of powdered peanut butter but the PB2 seems to be the best. I've been using it for about 6 or so years. Before it was found at Walmart or on Amazon you had to order it directly from Bell Plantation. Pretty sure you still can if you can't find it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. You can add it in anything.. I use it with my RTD premiere chocolate drinks. Some times I add a banana into my ninja and blend them together for a choc Peanut Butter banana "milk shake". I use it in my oatmeal I make it by itself and eat it with celery. (Pre surgery) I haven't tried this one post yet. Possibilities are endless Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. My NP told me to just eat the toppings. Chopped carrots, cukes, onions, bacon, cheese, tomato, seeds, etc. Add a little dressing and skip the filler leafy crap. Yum. I can imagine the look on their face when I order my favorite salad..without the lettuce..so doing this!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Cream of crab Soup....it made me so sick Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I wasn't allowed to have it during my 2 week pre-op but I sure did use it after surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. @@her1981 it took almost 50lbs before someone said anything to me. I thought maybe they noticed but we're afraid to say something but one of them followed up with the "wow you've lost a lot of weight" with "you better stop". Um no.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
