  1. . Thanks for asking! I feel good. 5 more days. Pre-op diet is going well. I find that I'm not hungry. Just nervous
  2. Went through that in 2010 when I decided to do this. I was talked out of it by people's opinions. The result = I'm here 5 years later many pounds heavier getting it done (surgery is 9/14). I have no doubt this is the right decision for me. Stop listening to other people.
  3. started my pre-op diet today. Not bad so far. Not feeling ver hungry
  4. Me! I'm 9/14. 3 days after my 32nd bday. No wine for me
  5. I got my date, 9/14.
  6. 6 weeks total. Working from home the last 2 weeks
  7. Sooooooo happy!!!! Greatest early bday gift ever. I'll be at Beth Isreal Boston. Anyone else sleeving on the 14th
  8. From Boston. Going to BI. I don't have a date yet. I see the surgeon tomorrow ( last step). Hoping for a September date
  9. I have my appointment with Schneider tomorrow. Can't wait! Hoping for a September date
  10. My husband and 3 sisters. The oldest sister had a bypass in 2012 so I told her first. Everyone else can mind their own business. I'm very private. I won't lie, but I'm not volunteering.
  11. Met the medical director yesterday. Waiting to see the surgeon next. Then insurance approval and surgery date. I'm hoping for surgery in September. Would make it an amazing birthday month gift.
  12. Going to Beth Isreal. Harvard Pilgrim didn't require a wait period. I did all my labs and testing earlier this month. Saw the NUT yesterday and have to go back in 3 weeks (8/17). That day I also see the Medical Director. After that I believe I wait to see the surgeon, then insurance approval, then schedule a date. I'm not sure if insurance approval is occurring while waiting to see the surgeon. I think I'll be sleeved late Sept/early October. Anyone else from Boston?
  13. I hope so! My insurance has no time requirements but I just started the process and have appointments and test on 7/27. Then again in 8/17. I'd love to have surgery in September.
