  1. I had a band to sleeve conversion on May 26. The first two weeks were rough but I'm feeling much better now! How are the rest of you doing? There's not another thread in May 2015 for this date. If there is another place to post, would you mind putting a link here? I haven't been able to find it.
  2. Do you know of any support groups in the area? StV East has one the 3rd Saturday of the month, but I'd love to find out if there are more. These first few months I feel like I can use all the help I can get!
  3. Robotics? No! Dr. Miles is very old school. I'm not nauseous anymore. I had some the first two days but none since. I'm feeling good, just a little discomfort as I learn how and what I can eat.
  4. Me! I'm in Birmingham. Dr. Miles did my sleeve on 5/26. I have just started the soft food stage and I'm enjoying the taste of food, but man do I miss eating. Even though I'm not hungry.
  5. Great advice! Also, walk, walk and walk. Even if you just walk around your house. Walking, especially stairs, really helps with the gas. I had diarrhea after my first Protein shake, but just that morning. If it persists, you should definitely call your surgeon. Meg
  6. My surgeon discharges the self pay patients the same day, but he keeps the insurance patients overnight. I was glad to be there the night. I had more pain than with the band.
  7. I need to drink the protein shakes with 30g of protein. That helps keep my protein closer to 80g.
  8. Wish they'd done that. I got stapled and I still have some scabs.
  9. I had my surgery two weeks ago and I was sent home with a wound vac where the port was removed. Wondering if anyone else had this and how long it took to heal.
  10. I'm two weeks out from my conversion and I have also had very low energy. Yesterday I had almost 90 grams of protein and I can feel a huge difference today. I'm having two protein shakes plus two Greek yogurts. Tomorrow I get to add in more soft food like cottage cheese and applesauce so I'm hoping that'll help too!
