I had DS with Dr. Sharp at Rex Surgical Specialists. Nov 30th. I can not stress enough how good this group is. Its all about a lifetime with their patients. We get a wealth of information and have all the support we could ever ask for.

Sorry i didnt Aamwer all. My husbamd is 45 and yea i gueas it would be calling compete and that is not right. Noone ahould compete for anyone. And yea both. I have kust been dealing with me and my surgery and mot worry about them.

His daughter is 21 and no she no longer lives with us. She has 3 babies. I see she os trying to grow up some. But what she said nit to ling aho that she still didnt want to share him. No thats not healthy yes her mother is living

From the dates on here i am sure you have already had your surgery. Our group is the best. I bet if you post on our page all your questions you will meet someone that has had sips. I am having DS with Dr Sharp.

Good morning to you miss sleeve. I go in to my last nut appt on the 11 th. So i will defo ask about that. Cream soup would be very filling for me. Fingers crossed.

I am fixing to go on full liquids for 2 weeks. I talked to my nut. Unjury chicken soup is good. But my nut rather a no or low sodium broth. Unjury has high sodium. Soni got herb ox no sodium. I didnt know puree food was ok for liquid diet. Unless yall are talking about post op. I am talking about preop and from my understanding these are totally diff types of diet?? I love these forums cus it gives me more questions to ask my doctor and nut.

Cream soup is considered liquid? I knew that would be ok strained after but never told thatbwas ok b4.

I would think the liquid diet would be easier also. I know i am fixing to find out for sure. But what i was told is that after 4 days you are not hungry anymore????? Is this not true??? I got no sodium broth that will be my main liquid other then my wAter and protien. Sont taste the best but i can tollerate it.

So what are you doing for diet and how long?? I ate more. But ate better for me. Salads with a packet of tuna on it. And 1 spoon of deessing was my main meal. Oh yes i cut ip boiled egg also. If i sis kot get enough protein i would drink a shake. If i wanted something warm i had mainly vegis. It did not take too long to take off 30 lbs. but i guess if it was a requirement it might have been harder.

How much more donyou need to lose??

Miss sleeve i sure wish i could find premier protein at our walmarts. They do not carry it. So i have to go to sams. About my surgery if i did not have to provide a six month diet for the insurance my surgery wouldnhave been done in the summer when i completed all my required tests my doctor needed. But i needed 4 more months of diet visits ????. But here we are 28 days to go.

Hi Debac, really?? Did you have to go on any kind of diet to lose a few lbs pre op? Miss sleeve the more i read i think its doctors choice? My ins called for 6 month supervised diet no requirement on weight loss. My doctor requires the 2 week liquid pre op for less complications in surgery. My husbands cousin did not have any diet what so ever. Her surgery is the rny on the 11 th. Totally didf then what my doctor andbinsurance requires. By the way my surgerybis DS. So may be a bit diff req than sleeve??

Miss sleeve. No maam i cant lose for ya. I can only lose for me. But i can be a support when you want to slip. By the waybi alsobhve premier protien. I get a 12 pack at sams for 15.98. Pre mix.

I had no amt of weight i had to lose. But i dod lose 30 lbs. i am expecting to lose more during prenop diet also.

I do not start my liquid diet untill nov 16 th. One thing i have learned thru all this is that i have a strong will. I had to quit smoking thru this and have already got rid of my clothes. So i can not give advice on the fast food issue because i have not got there yet. But i can say keeping busy, talking about things i have been thru this far. And sometimes even just taking a nap if me telling myself that i really didnt want that cig or could never wear those clothes again. That would help. Another hard thing i have been thru was when i got my surgery date all of a sudden i craved several reateraunts, along with ice cream from baskin robins and cheeaecake from cheesecake factory. I have passed these places by and just told myself i really did not need to go there cus it was on the other side of the road or oops i missed the driveway or just simply cus i want to be well again. The hardest time was when my grandbaby said she wanted ice cream. I passed it and told her that the doctor said nanny cant have ice cream. She said why nanny? I said well remember nanny has to go to the doctor and get those big shots and she said yes. I said well its so nanny dont have to go to the doctor and get a bunch of shots anymore. She said nanny after your big shots you dont have to have shots no more? I told her not very many. She said good you dont get ice cream. I want to see my granbabies grow up. By the way my big shots is my surgery. She would not understand it any other way but big shots. ???? so maybe use excuses as we all did when we justified something bad for us. Maybe turn them around to be something good for us. Good luck and pass that mickey ds up u can do this.

I will be having DS Nov 30. I use this site on my cell phone and can never find anything from Ds forums. The reat are there just not DS. And on my phone i can not post a topic can only answer others.

Well guess I have 2 surgery dates. Doctors office told me November 30. Insurance letter says November 18. Got a call into doctor to see who was mistaken. I'll take either date.
