well I did begin to have my gastric sleeve surgery on 11/05/2018. On the table .knocked out with anesthesia .Awaken by nurses telling me. They were not able to do the surgery. they informed me that they could not introduce the laroscopy where it needed to be to begin the surgery. The doctors said they tried for 45 minute. even called in ENT to try. Neck just wouldn't bend. (my neck is fused, due to spinal surgery due to polio} I was so extremely depressed. So I had to begin all over again. with a Doctor I was referred to. Dr. Katkhouda @ Keck USC. next week I complete my nutrition classes AGAIN. I'm scheduled again May 7th 2019. Please let it work this time.

I would like to know also. when I joined BP I was considering a gastric bypass, but my doctor says sleeve would be better for a Diabetic. I cant figure out how to change my surgery type

been through numerous diet/classes/pills. also had a Lap band. I was originally scheduled to have band removed & have gastric sleeve done at the same time. But when they removed the band. said too much scar tissue from the band wrapping around my liver. How did Band wrap around my liver? Who knows.. my doctor closed the surgery. said I must wait for 1 year before they attempt to do the sleeve. But after going through all that. I had to go to more classes/ 1 on 1 with doctor/ G/I Series/ Esophagus in order for my insurance for approval. Well I did it all. Finally my schedule date at Fountain Valley Hospital is 11/05/2018. I am so excited.

Don't be discouraged.The doctors want this stablized.so that you won' have any problem during your surgery.Just a slight delay..

Everyday it gets easier. Not much gas pain. Which is g[d for me. Had to reschedule bypass tho for 3 mos.. too much scar tissue beneath thr lapband they removed.disappointed. but Not giving up.

Appreciate your thoughtfulness.i wasnt able to complete the process. My lapband was wrapped around my liver. But the were able to remove it. Thay also reduced my hernia caused by the lapband.bypas to be reschediled in 3 mos.

Good Morning family. Awake & waiting for 4:00 to leave to Fountain Valley Memorial Hospital. Suppose to admitting @ 5:00am. ​ll take a selfie when i'm almost ready to go in.. YAASSS! my day is finally here. Let the day begin.. so excited

Got my alarm set for 3:00am. Leaving @ 4:00am surgery at 5:00am..I am so ready..text you after surgery..hope I fall asleep quickly...

Mines tomorrow gotta be there at 5:00am. I will be the first surgery of the morning.. YAASS!

5th day on liquid diet. Hanging in there. Not so bad. Frequent headaches tho
