  1. I have this pain in my upper abdomen that lasts for maybe five seconds then it goes away but it is very painful !! I am now three days post up, should I be concerned?
  2. I had my surgery on July 22. Whenever I try to drink clear Protein shakes I get sick and throw up. Is this normal? Water now is my only friend.

  4. Hematologist says I am normal nothing is wrong, and he says I am cleared to have the surgery. Now I am waiting for surgery staff to call me and reschedule.
  5. They say they would send me to a hematologist to see if it is ok to have the surgery or not. If I get the clearance, my surgeon says I will do it Monday Morning.
  6. My surgery got canceled due to low blood white cells.
  7. My surgery is in a few hours. I am so nervous.

  13. Congratulations on your weight loss !! Your face surely looks different. but how come you end up with scar tissue built up? Did you have surgery before the sleeve ?

  15. Trust me, the office staff will do their best to get you approved. let's be honest, they get paid by insurance money
  16. At your last dietitian visit, they must have weighed you before they sent your paper to the insurance . If you didn't gain weight from you first visit weigh in, then you will be fine.
  17. If you haven't net gained in the three month deal, they will approve you. I got approved in one day, but usually it takes from two weeks to one month.
  18. What do you mean by outpatient at their center? I have a surgery on July 16th at the same place.
  19. -40+ BMI with three months supervised diet . -or 35+ BMI with diseases related to obesity plus three months of supervised diet. -Psychological evaluation. - and some other routine stuff Usually takes from two weeks to one month to get the approval or denial. It took one day for me to get approved. My surgery is on July 16th
  20. My surgery is this coming Thursday at 1 PM. My doctor says you will go home same day by 5PM. I am not sure how I am going to take care of myself especially that I read everyone stays at least two nights at the hospital. Did anyone have the same situation? I really feel lost and don't know what to do.
  21. None of my friends or my family support me. So I gave the idea that I wouldn't do it. My surgery is next Thursday and no one knows about it expect this guy who will pick me up from the hospital. All those people I mentioned have never struggled with weight ever !! Go ahead and don't let other people discourage you.

  25. Really? Aetna sent me a form when I began to inquire about the coverage for the surgery, this was in late April/early May. The form listed that a 2 year weight history is required. My initial surgeon appt was in late May and the patient coordinator asked for it.
