  1. I have Medicare as primary and Medicaid as secondary. I was approved right away. My bmi was 39.4. Now it's 38. They did not require me to lose any weight. However I did to make the surgery easier. I only was required to have one nutritionist visit. I have my surgery date for August 17th. I'm nervous and excited to start my new life.
  2. I take chewable vitamins. Centrum chewable a. I usually use a coupon and they are great vitamins. Just make sure to chew them completely.
  3. My date is also set for 8/17. I can't wait.
  4. Hi. FYI. I'm not sure if you are aware of this but my nutritionist told me that you can see the nutritionist in one of your local supermarkets once a month and it's free. That can count as one of your visits that are supervised. I found this out in one of the support groups. I would ask someone about it. I was very lucky with my insurance. I only needed one nutrition visit. I just thought some people out here should know that.
  5. Best of luck to you. You'll be in my prayers today.
  6. Innerpeace90. Keep in touch. Take care of yourself now. I always believe that if you love yourself someone will love you.
  7. Hi. I am scheduled for August 17th as well. I am happy and nervous at the same time. Good luck everyone.
  8. Thank you so much. I hope you do well as well. This forum is my best friend lately. I find myself awake at night reading others experiences with their journey to the other side. Thank you everyone for sharing. August 17th and I will cross over. Can't wait!
  9. Hi everyone. I just got my surgery date this morning. August 17, 2015. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. August 3rd I have to start my liquid diet. Shake for breakfast, shake for lunch and sensible dinner. So I guess it's not so bad. Anyone else have their date for August 17th?
  10. Hi everyone. Today I see my surgeon to get a date for surgery. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. I just want to be on the other side already. The losing side. I began my journey on April 15th. I have had all my tests done. My insurance already gave the okay for the surgery. I guess I am a little nervous about the after care. I am very fortunate that my nutritionist told me she will walk me through this. She will call me once a week for a half hour at a time to make sure that I am doing the right thing. She also will be showing me how to make my own protein shakes. I guess now I know that I won't be alone through this journey. I am grateful to everyone here and all my medical team for all they will do to help me through this journey. I am most grateful to my husband for supporting me on this journey. I will definitely keep you posted on my date of surgery. Thanks all for listening. I hope you share a similar date to mine.
