  1. Glad I read the whole thread, because I was just going to suggest Halo Top as tasting way better. I haven't tried either, but I have Halo Top on my list if I ever get interested in ice cream. You can really easily make your own low carb sugar free ice cream. I used to make it all the time and people can't tell the difference. http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2012/11/chocolate-ice-cream-low-carb-sugar-free-2.html The strawberry ice cream recipe is really good from that site but it is in the cookbook and it is the one I have made.
  2. @Frodo Not being hungry is something no one could have ever explained to me before surgery and I would have understood. It is something you have to live. I am 3 months I am never hungry, and unless I set alarms and reminders I forget to eat. I am behind on eating to day. It is a glorious freedom I never thought I would experience. They say it doesn't last so I am enjoying it while it does.
  3. Report every single last one of them. I hope you kept their names. Speak to the director of nursing. Make sure you tell you doctor, and fill out that survey card.
  4. @@JamieLogical That is basically how I feel. I have given up everything. I am not giving up coffee. I don't care about alcohol or soda, but coffee, I can't live without.
  5. It is the weight loss and hormone release from the fat burning off. The first month I had serious mood swings. Luckily I live alone and I don't have to work with anyone so I had less things to set me off. 6 weeks out seemed to really be a turning point with me, everything was better. We have the same surgeon
  6. I'd drop the sweet potatoes, whole wheat and oatmeal for 2 weeks and see what happens.
  7. We've had a coffee thread like everyday. I guess that is an improvement from the alcohol thread every day.
  8. When I couldn't have coffee, I had this http://store.bariatricpal.com/collections/syntrax/products/syntrax-nectar-2lb-bottle-Cappuccino every morning. It satisfied my need for the coffee taste and I got my Protein in.
  9. What can you eat during you stage 3? How many weeks since surgery? Protein bars can sit very heavy in the stomach and in my program they weren't allowed until basically regular foods. Do you like seafood? Bake fish will help you get to your protein goals. Do you have unflavored Protein powder that you can add to other beverages/foods? Have you tried Protein drinks that are the consistency of Water? Like Syntrax nectars? They have flavors like iced tea, lemonade, etc.
  10. I love coffee but I waited until after 6 weeks to drink it. 4 days post op it might be too much acid for you. The acid in coffee is a bigger concern than the caffeine that this point.
  11. I have a good substitute for you. Trader Joe's coconut creamer. It is slightly sweet, it is actually a little to sweet for me, but I think it would make a good creamer substitute. http://www.traderjoes.com/fearless-flyer/article/2118 It has one carb and 5 calories per TBSP
  12. Don't buy creamers period. Buy milk, half and half or heavy cream. You can make your fat, carb choice from there. Those creamers are just artificial crap. Also if you are ingesting a lot of artificial sweeteners it will slow your weight loss. People in the low carb community discovered this a few years ago. So cut back on artificial sweeteners for a week or 2 and see if that helps. I buy the Sargento ultra thin slice, because they are paper thin 45 calories, and I can get that real cheese taste in a very small controlled portion. I follow a Keto diet because I wasn't losing with the vague plan from my program which was low carb and low fat with really no macro goals except Protein. I need something more rigid, and since I have no hunger I have to really make an effort to eat, so having 3 marco goals to try and meet a day helps a lot.
  13. Also, if you are going to have burgers, mustard has no calories so its the best condiment After that, mayo would be better than Ketchup.
  14. Google intermittent fasting, and carb cycling and see if you think one of those or a combo might work.
  15. I have never seen unflavored Protein powder in Walmart. I use this powder. http://www.gnc.com/Allmax-Nutrition-IsoNatural-Unflavored/product.jsp?productId=3467633 I don't buy at GNC but GNC carries it, and there are GNCs almost everywhere. I used it in broth, I add it to things, and I use it to make coffee frappes.
  16. I like fish because you get more bang for your calories and Protein and don't feel stuffed. That is 6.5 ounces of fish and 1.2 ounces of zucchini.
  17. This is my go to meal right now. Baked swai and zoodles. Seasoned with Flavor God lemon garlic seasoning.
  18. When is your next check up with your doctor? A month out you should be able to drink well.
  19. This is so mean and hurtful. That post was about me celebrating my success and being thrilled about what I've accomplished. It was about self love and worth. How does it help you too tell me my posts suck? I would never say something like that to anyone! I didn't say your posts suck. They do come off as being posted by an insecure person that is attention seeking. People that are secure in themselves do seek validation in others the way you do. The way you responded to criticism in this thread just illustrates it. Um? Yeah, you kind of did. Perhaps you had not intended to insult, but it most certainly could have been phrased in a less insulting manner. I wrote what I meant and I meant what I wrote. It wasn't meant as an insult, I am just being straight forward. I can't control how other people feel about words on a screen, and I don't care to try. She make a post at least once a week about being skinny and begging for people to validate her. There is no way that isn't seeping into her real life, and she posted that her family and friends are tired of her, so it obviously is. These men she are dating can see it also and they are zeroing in.
  20. Why not give up juice and use a Water flavor instead? These are sweetened with Stevia and the raspberry lemonade is amazing http://sweetleaf.com/stevia-water-enhancer/
  21. I used to take Diatomaceous earth before surgery and I loved it, It does work very well. It is an old natural remedy. It has benefits for animals and humans. However I would not take it after surgery at all. The reason being it can make you constipated etc, and I have enough issues with that. I also doubt I could flood my body with enough Water that you really need when you take it. It is a great supplement but I think post surgery, Probiotics are a better route to go. food grade is just basically silicia, it really helps with hair, skin and nails. I would love to take again, but like I said. I can't drink enough water to risk. I used to take with about 2-3oz of water then follow it with about 32 oz of water. If you can drink a gallon of water a day then maybe. It isn't something I would try until after a year out, maybe more. I would have to be able to ingest a lot more water quickly before I tried.

  23. I promise! Use it and find the answer to your questions faster than making a new thread for a topic that has been covered 100 times.
  24. I have to agree with @@LipstickLady , you get what you project. You created a thread about being obsessed with yourself and your posts have gone down hill since then. You should take a break from dating and focus on yourself and get grounded in your new persona before dating. You come off as not being comfortable in your skin. Men will pick up on that and exploit it.
