  1. Hi All A very exciting day yesterday. I wore shorts for the first time in at least 20 years! Man were my legs white! But they were free of the constraints of trousers. It was 33 degrees (91 f) so I appreciated it that's for sure. I might try a skirt soon!
  2. My hair has just started coming out as well. It is so lifeless and dry. Hopefully it won't be too bad.
  3. Thanks toasty. I will see if I can get it to Australia. Water gets too much sometimes!
  4. Just a quick question from someone in a land far away, what is crystal lite? Is it like a sugar free gatorade? I might see if I can order some online as everyone seems to be drinking it. Thanks
  5. Sleeved 26 / 5. Have lost 20 kg (about 44#) and have 10kgs to go (about 20#). Agree that weight loss has become harder and more erratic
  6. All the best BC. Everything will be fine and you will be losing weight before you know it
  7. Hi Sleeved 25 May. SW 205 CW 165 20 or so pounds to go! So glad I did this.
  8. Haha. I was just saying to my husband how uncomfortable the park bench that I sat on at lunch was and I was in a jacket and cold in 86 degrees!
  9. I am nearly 4 months out and still feel tired. Not as bad as it was but I do hit a wall sometimes and have to be in bed by 7 30.
  10. 3 1/2 months out and eating pretty much everything except processed carbs. Protein first then veg. I have not had any bread , rice or pasta and probably won't as I like them too much! I did have a muffin the other day and didn't enjoy it. In fact I'm still trying to figure out what led me to eat it. What a head game this is! Glad to hear everyone else is doing well
  11. Welcome aboard ahs. Just had an amazing victory. Git into a size 14 (aus/nz) pair of jeans!!! I an beyond excited. Yay for me!
  12. I was back to my desk job after a week but did have to take the next day off as I was exhausted. Then just took each day as it came. It was really tiring
  13. It could be the type. I use one that is granulated like sugar. Good luck
  14. From auckland but living in Perth
  15. I have just made a ricotta cheesecake using 500 grams of ricotta, 2 beaten eggs and half a cup of stevia. I also added some passion fruit. I didn't bother with a base. Not sure if you get stevia in the states but it is a natural sugar alternative.
  16. I was on fluids for a few days then puree/liquid food for a week, the soft food like salmon and casseroles for a week and then normal. I am ten weeks out and haven't eaten bread or pasta yet, but I could. Just trying to keep the carbs down.
  17. I have eaten a smoothie with berries, protein powder, almond milk and yogurt for breakfast. I also put nature's way super greens powder in as well so I am getting some veg and then protein all day. Exercise wise I started doing weights to keep my muscle mass up. I have only lost 2kg of muscle. I have just started running and cycling.
  18. Well done Smileygirl. That's wonderful. I had my three month check and have lost 51% of my excess fat. Woohoo this is awesome!
  19. I am nearly 4 months out and sweet cravings have hit hard along with all the self loathing that comes with it when I indulged. Ho hum. I do feel proud that I started the next day back on the horse and exercised a lot. This would never have happened pre surgery so I must have learnt something!
  20. I am the same and up and down all night drinking. I have never had such a dry mouth. I wondered if it was because we drink so much during the day that our bodies get panicked without it? That's my theory anyway!
  21. The saying "eat only things your grandmother would recognize" comes to mind.
