  2. I am glad to hear sleeve works but sorry you puked. I think about pizza but have been on purée/ cottage cheese like textures this week. I had hiatal hernia repair with my sleeve 5/19. So I read your post literally right after trying to eat a very small hard boiled egg and also puking. I feel hunger a lot but I know what I am doing wrong. I am not doing the small Amounts of food every 3 hours, instead waiting until I have to eat and then chewing not enough and too quickly. Protein shakes go down fine. I guess I'm glad, I worked in healthcare eating on the fly and I have a bad habit of eating too quickly. Before surgery I got good about keeping a cooler of Snacks and always having healthy stuff on hand although, I still snarfed it down in the car or on the fly. I am learning and my body is certainly reinforcing the habit. Anyone recommend a good book, with meal planning suggestions and practical advice for busy moms? Something that maybe has suggestions for each part of the process?

  4. Doing pretty good now, I seem to be hungry often but I think I'm needing more protein, still dealing with slowed down weight loss but managed to shed 2 pounds durning this stall. My clothes are definitely fitting so much looser! I look forward to eating real food which will probably help me stay fuller longer.

  15. Hey that's cool which hospital were you at, I was lax and it was kinda cozy there.
  16. Glad to hear, my weight is coming oh but I'm finding it hard to drink the amount of water I crave because it wants to come up. I am a lifelong gulper though, I am used to eating and drinking on the run. I keep getting reminded by my body the hard way that it has to stop now. Seems like my stomach is always growling but I don't really feel starved necessarily unless it is time to eat. I do miss the fullness from real food even healthier choices just chewable. My Doc told most of my questions not really concerns about it were hernia repair related and another week or so will make a big difference.
  17. Hi, sleeved may 19th, I am a widow and really looking forward to being more active with my son this summer! I was formerly fit so I know the things I want to do just working up to it still. I am so impatient to be there. I live in west Michigan where there is a ton of stuff to do!
  18. @@marybear1965 I had hiatal hernia and sleeve on the 19th and wondered how you are doing now since you have about 10 extra days on me
  19. Hi there, my name is Kimberly and I am also very tired and week. At first I had energy but this week it is at a zero. I only did a 1 week pre op diet since my BMI was at 40 Start wt - 244 At surgery - 238 6/2 - 229 Oh surgery date was 5/19 The scale hasn't moved in 3 days but I have had a hard time getting my water and protein in. Not much worried since last time a couple days passed it jumped down a few pounds at once.
  20. So sorry to hear that you have had so much trouble. Praying the future is much brighter! So sorry to hear that you have had so much trouble. Praying the future is much brighter!
  21. I was close and yes I did eat a lot before my initial appointment. I always felt I was 5'6" but I have shrunk over the years and measured in at 5'4" in my first appointment. I know a friend who used a dissected old ankle weight and placed in pockets and under belt. She said she ended up with a co morbidity anyway so did not matter.
  22. Hi, I'm 11 days post op tomorrow and I am down 17.5 as of this morning! It's incredible to finally see the scale moving so fast and I have felt really pretty good actually. I have always been a water drinker and I really don't like that I cannot drink it down when I'm thirsty. I hate the small sips. Does that part ever get easier? Anyway I'm glad to have stumbled onto this forum. Kimberly
  23. Walking at the beach without huffing and puffing and not sweating so much! Hiking, kayaking and so much more. 10 days out and it's going to be an epic summer Most look forward to being active with my 5 year old!
