  1. Hey everyone... So I had my surgery on Monday AUGUST 31 at 730 am... I'm glad to say that I have been doing well. My surgeon said that my surgery went great but I had some issues with trying to regulate my blood sugar levels. It was either too high or too low. My body is still trying to figure out what is going on...LOL!!! Slowly but surely we're gonna get it. So I came home with high hopes on having some chicken flavored unjury soup and unfortunately my sleeve nor my nose appreciate it. The smell makes me nauseous now. When I tell you that was my best friend for my two week liquid diet... Smh hard to understand Where the dislike came to play. Anyway, if anyone is interested in having this product please let me know and I will ship it to you. No charge. I have a full container and a half container.
  2. @ Jessica correa I hope you do also!!!! Wishing you all the best
  3. hey there , my surgery is August 31st also !!!Awesome! Are you ready? I'm soooooo ready.... Are you??
  4. Unjury chicken flavored is the best thing there is...Lol... It taste like real chicken soup... Since I'm allowed veggies i will be taking broccoli, carrots, celery and onions and either sautéing it or making actual soup whichever one I'm up for doing... I'm hungry and desperate!!!! Can you tell?? LOL ????????????????????????????
  5. @@kstellflug that's awesome!!!! I completely agree with you!!!
  6. Ok... Cool... Does your Dr have any requirements prior to surgery??
  7. @tera1982... I'm getting sleeved August 31....Where are you located??
  8. Two week liquid diet started on Monday... Idk if I will make it... Feeling hungry and a little weak... Just gotta try and keep my head above water
  9. Ok... So far I have realized that I don't like premier protein due to the after taste or the unjury powdered protein drinks because it taste watered down even though I'm using their recommended dose... I still have not tasted the unjury soup. Will do so tonight when I get home. But I am hungry... Slowly but surely I will conquer my belly ????????????????????
  10. @ Mistie thank you for the advice!!!!
  11. Ok... So I have started my 2 week liquid diet.. I'm at the end of day two... Now my Dr has me on non carbonated drinks no sugar.. all liquids and I can have veggies and salad with vinegar or lemon... And fat free cream soups. I only been able to find 98% fat free cream soups.. So I'm sticking to broth... I did good yesterday had some little spurts of hunger but I had an EAS Protein shake or water and that held my hunger for about 2 hrs... I was in the bathroom like nobody's business... Lol.. That was day 1. Now today day 2, I had pre op testing and an appt with the therapist and I had dinner with a friend... Now I started out good with the water and shakes but by the time I met up with my friend... Smh... Omgosh... We went to an Italian restaurant and I tried to behave I ordered a house salad with grilled chicken and water... But the salad came drenched in Olive oil and balsamic vinegar... So i picked at it and the chicken was so good but i only ate 3 strips... The salad came with 7 strips of chicken... So I didn't do so bad.. But I know that can be my only cheat.. I noticed the difference between today and yesterday though... Yesterday I was at work bored and today I was busy so not much time to think about food.. So I didn't have hunger spurts today... Its back to work tomorrow so let's see how it goes... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE !!! Gotta keep pushing
  12. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm August 31 @ NYU
  13. I'm scheduled for surgery on August 31st but I've noticed that the closer I get to surgery day the more anxiety I am developing... Fell asleep at 5 am last night cause of the worry of failing on the pre op diet and not being able to have the surgery then the worry of having the surgery and not being able to eat and having low blood sugars because I'm a type 1 diabetic. Too much going on in my head and I HAVE TO RELAX.. You're not alone
  14. Thank you .... Same here ????????
  15. Thank you glitterpockets (btw.. Love your username ????) Reading everyone's post does shed some light
  16. Thank you all for the encouragement... I really do appreciate it.
  17. It truly is. I started to lose weight on my own a few years ago and I was truly addicted to cokes and fast food. I would hit the drive through at least twice a day every day. When I made the choice to start eating better I would call my someone while I was in the car to have accountability and as sad as it was I was white knuckled gripping the steering wheel in tears as I drove past the numerous fast food places on the way to work. It took a while but little by little I have managed to break the addictions to get myself in the right place to be ready to do this surgery and be successful with it. If you have anyone in your life that you can call and have accountability with when you have the desire to eat junk I would suggest that you do it because it helps a lot. That's not a bad idea... Thank you!!
  18. @MiamiBlue13... So it's like my brain is playing tricks on me. Since I know that I'm coming to the end of my way of eating my brain is in a way telling me no keep doing it.
  19. @@jss1988 It's a daily struggle
  20. @shrinkingpeach.... Thank you....I know what I'm dealing with emotionally which is not an excuse... But is the reason why after I leave the therapist office I'm running too the fast food joint. Have I told the therapist this no not yet... But i will be sure to mention it... Obviously there is a deeper issue that I have to deal with.
  21. Hey.... August 31 for me!!!
  22. Ok... So I'm scheduled for surgery on August 31. I had my last appt with the surgeon on July 18. But for the past 2 weeks or so I have not been watching my food intake or exercising. I'm not motivated and don't have any energy to even walk. I've gained a couple of pounds. But I'm supposed to start my liquid diet on August 17 and I'm trying to stop the fast food eating and getting back to my healthy eating but I just don't see it happening. I started seeing a therapist to figure out my feelings with food. But leaving her office just leads to the nearest fast food joint i find... Smh... Somethings gotta give. I'm ranting on here to see if this might help and open up my eyes or even maybe deal with this issue that I'm going thru. I started out good too. My starting weight was 258 in April 2, I got down to 236 by June 4 and now I'm back up to 245. I NEED A SERIOUS WAKE UP CALL TO SMELL THE FLOWERS!!!!!!
  23. I'm getting sleeved on August 31 and my nutritionist and I spoke about this and she recommended 50 mg of Zinc... But I had to also double check with my Endocrinologist to see if it wouldn't interact with my other meds.... She said Biotin is good for getting the hair healthy but the Zinc is what makes it strong at the root... Ask your team and see what they say
  24. I agree... Victoza or trulicity... Will assist with lowering your A1C and weight loss
  25. My Nutritionist and Surgeon recommended Flinstones... Lol
