I was 206lbs the day of surgery and am now 169 at 8 weeks. I of course don't lose as fast as some, but no I don't regret it. I didn't take any before pics. I meant to but just never did. I still don't take pics of myself. Maybe when I reach my goal weight I will feel differently.

I am from out of town also. I did my consult with Dr. Long one day and the EGD the next. Took about a week or so for them to call back. Could have done my surgery within a month but was going on vaca. Goes by quickly.

I started after a week post op. As far as I can tell no problems.

When were you allowed to start this stage?

I was sleeved 11/12. I am wanting food too!

I did have the hernia repair. Was your pain constant or just occasional?

I take Pepcid in the am and Omeprazole at night

I am 5 days post op. I have been having a pain in my chest since surgery. I am hoping it is just gas still or taking too big of a sip, or too much. The thing is it happens when I haven't drank anything. Like in the middle of the night. It's just a sharp pain and just lasts for a few seconds. Kind of lower sternum. I have always had heartburn/GERD. Now I don't have any acid come into my throat but wondering if this is my new heartburn feeling?

I'm having this same issue. Apparently I was supposed to wait before starting my Vitamins. I started mine the next day. I wish my info was more clear cut.

Mine was the 12th. I went home the same day and also started vomiting all they way home and it lasted until the next day. I seem to be feeling worse rather than better. Getting around today I have been a little short of breath and need to sit down. I too am having trouble getting all of my liquids in as it causes bubbles and chest pain. Ready to be 6 months post op and all of this to be a distant memory!!

Every time I take a sip I feel horrible gas pain. Starts at the bottom of my ribs and goes up. It's making it really hard to get my liquids in. I have been taking Pepcid also. I am almost worried that I popped a stitch somewhere since I was vomiting so much the first 24 hours.

My surgery was yesterday after being discharged. I started vomiting and it hasn't stopped since. I've used Phenergan and Zofran maybe. Is it normal to be vomiting this much?

Thank you ladies! Sitting here waiting for the nurse to call me back there. I have had a sore throat for several days. I'm hoping they don't kick me out because of it lol

Surgery in the morning????????????

I waited for a call for 2 weeks and then I called them. They were going to book me for a week and a half from then but I changed the date due to work and pre planned vaca

I really liked Dr Long. He was my 3rd consult. (Wanted to make sure I chose the right Dr. for me). Can't wait for my surgery!! (11/12/15)

I have been too! I need to get my mind ready for this and off of food funeral mode.

I am catching up after several days. There are a ton of posts telling people to join the Facebook group. I was confused as to why also.

I'm going to use Dr. Long at the Nicholson Clinic in the Dallas area. My surgery is Nov. 12.

I will have a 4 hour drive home after surgery. I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't just stay another night.

Who is your Dr?

My food funeral will be on a Disney Cruise ship. Turkey broth will probably be the extent of my Thanksgiving

Mine is November 12, getting it done in Plano Texas. Can't wait!!

I don't want to tell my direct supervisor (who does my schedule) as she will tell everyone. I thought about just saying I'm having the hernia repair only and just taking a few days off. But if I do FMLA (in case I need more days or for check ups etc.) will it say hernia repair or gastric sleeve?

Rescheduled for November 12th.
