  4. I'm so excited, I was approved by insurance today. I will also be getting my sleeve by Dr. Leslie @ the U of M on Dec 15th. Lexuskela, do you go to the support group meeting the 1st Wed of the month or do you have another group that you meet with? Are you at your goal? If so, how is maintenance? Hi!! Yay! Dr Leslie!!!! He ROCKS!!!!! I live up in Otsego by the Albertville mall so no I never went to a support group. I wish I could have. Just been on here for support which has been awesome. ???????? I was sleeved in July on the 21st. Since surgery I am down 48 lbs.... Since my first appt in May & my pre op diet my total overall weight loss is 73 lbs. Total... Not in maintenance yet... I want to get to 120... I am 204 now. Where do you live?
  5. Thank you everyone I appreciate it ????
  6. Thank you for the help ???? I feel much better thank God! Saltines helped & rest. Got to say the comment " you ate 5 saltines, not 5 Hershey bars" literally made me laugh out loud!! ???????????????? hilarious. I love this group. Thank you for your ongoing support & help. ????
  7. My IBS has been really upsetting me the past couple days. The only thing that I could think of eating this morning was something that would calm down my stomach. The last thing I could think about putting in it was a protein shake or eggs or anything else of the like that would be protein. So I ate some saltines! Right now I'm mad that I had saltines because I've been so good about not having any bad white carbs, so now I'm just mad that I did. What do you guys do when you have an upset tummy? What do you guys normally eat to settle it? Thanks for your help in advance. To let you know I had 5 saltines.
  8. I have IBS & shockingly since surgery I have thankfully been doing okay. But the past couple days I had a quest bar each day & wow my stomach has been not happy! IBS issues all day. Sorry if TMI. So, has anyone else had tummy issues after eating Quest bars or had it upset their IBS if you have it?
  9. I have the exact opposite problem. For me, protein drinks go down super easy and quick (like any drink) and don't keep me full-feeling at all. Actually EATING a bar and having it sit in my stomach for a while makes me feel full much longer. I make my shakes with ice too so that also helps to fill me that's why. But even when I just drink them with 6 oz of skim milk & 1 scoop of powder, I am stuffed for half the day. Its crazy.
  10. I am taking quest bars & I also picked up a B Up bar? Have not had that yet. I just find that the protein shake can fill me for more than half the day but a protein bar not as long.
  11. Does anyone here drink it? My NUT said it was fine from day one, but I am wondering if its not okay?
  12. How many protein bars can we have in 1 day when we are 3 months post op? I am trying to up my cals & protein. I am not getting enough cals or protein in. ????????
  13. Excellent read.... Thank you....going to stop weighing and drink drink drink and switch up exercise.... Thank you.... Excellent read.... Thank you....going to stop weighing and drink drink drink and switch up exercise.... Thank you.... Excellent read.... Thank you....going to stop weighing and drink drink drink and switch up exercise.... Thank you....
  14. Before surgery the only way I knew how to switch things up on a diet was to increase carb levels to shock my system. I am not going to add carbs to my system. So when you say add something or shock your system, what do you guys do to do that so I can break out of this plateau that I've been at for the past week or two? By carbs I mean BAD CARBS .... Please don't anyone freak out... I have fruit & veggies.... Yes I get good carbs... No I don't eat bread or rice or toast or crackers etc, & won't. ????????thanks everyone ????????????????
  15. Yay! Thank you... I am definitely not doing chips lol I wish, but no. I was thinking with eggs, with chicken & salads etc
  16. Any good salsa recipes?
  17. That's awesome! Since surgery in July I have lost 42 lbs. Since my first surgeon appt & I started pre op diet in May I have lost 67 lbs. I am excited but I do get worried when I stall.
  18. How long did it take you to lose your weight?
  19. One positive I have done to help myself in a healthy way recently, I took the advice of my surgeon & I stopped weighing myself daily. I am trying to see my weight loss as NSV'S & not JUST A NUMBER ON THE SCALE like I always have. That has helped me in a big way, but of course then there is the visual part in the mirror I see daily. So being excited about my NSV have been HUGE for me.
  20. @@jenn1 thank you so much! I am going to look for that one tomorrow! Returning the chobani
  21. Ohhhhh why did you stop eating yogurt? Slider food? I only got it because it was pumpkin & then I found a Protein shake recipe that called for vanilla yogurt. Otherwise I have not had it in a while. But when I do eat it, its always chobani Greek. I will try fage. Thank you for helping me. Once again lol I know I must drive you crazy! Ughh it's so hard scrutinizing over everything you eat.
  22. I am only 3 months post op and yes I worry daily about regain and more so at this point about not losing enough. I worry, will I really get to my goal? Will I really keep losing? Even though I have not cheated , NOT ONCE? What if I am that ONE PERSON that the surgery fails me? I have read about people who said " oh the weight just DROPPED OFF ME!" ...... Well I am 3 months post op and 42 lb down since day of surgery and 67 lb down since my very first appointment with the surgeon and I started my diet pre op. But then I think.... Well it's not just DROPPING OFF ME!!!! What's wrong with me????? It's a HUGE MENTAL GAME.....
  23. I bought Chobani Greek yogurt today, I usually always eat Chobani Greek. I was excited I found the new pumpkin flavored ones but I am worried about the sugars in it. I am going to attach the nutritional facts. Please let me know if I should return this. I was so excited because I LOVE PUMPKIN & have not had anything pumpkin yet since surgery because usually everything pumpkin is made in unhealthy ways. ???????????????????? Ps... Sorry I can't rotate the pic ????
  24. Awwwwwe ???????????????????? yes!!!!!! That's exactly it!!!!!!!!!! Yayyyy for you too!!!!!!!! Its so so exciting!!!!!!!! I could hug you through the computer if I could!!!! ????????????????????????
