  1. I want to lose as much as I can in my first year. I will not cheat or give in etc. I went into this surgery knowing my life was changing forever & I was not going back. I have no interest in carbs or sweets shockingly. Thankfully. So I have been looking at recipes on here & various Bariatric sites & Pinterest & I am worried when I see carbs. I want to stay away from carbs. So I am calling out to all of the VERY STRICT sleevers who are in their first year or who are past their first year and were strict. I am looking for ideas of recipes with no carbs & no sugar please. Can we start a thread going here to support each other? Thanks in advance ????????
  2. Awesome ideas! Thank you
  3. OMG!!!!!!!! I JUST ATE salad FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS!!!!! IT WAS GLORIOUS!!!!!!!! Ohhhh thank you God! I have missed it sooooo much!!!! So do you eat it alone as a meal or do you pair it always with something? Mine tonight was a chef salad, so it had Protein in it as far as meat protein. My dressing was balsamic vinegar and light olive oil.
  4. Did it! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! THEY LOOK AWESOME!!! ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1444258868.855300.jpg

  6. I love tall boots & haven't trued them on yet! I need to!!!!! ???? I have gotten into my old jeans from 3,years ago & that's soooo exciting to me! I haven't worn jeans in 3 years! I don't like the way I look fat in jeans so I never wore them. I LOVE LOVE LOVE jeans! They truly are my guilty pleasure lol,???????? so getting back into my jeans has been HUGE for me!! I think I will try tall boots this weekend!! We are going pumpkin picking this weekend with the kids & for once its so nice to WANT TO BE IN PICS with my family!!!! I actually am excited to get up on Saturdays & get dressed & do my hair & makeup & go out! Because I feel sexy! For years I felt disgusting & never wanted to go out or get out of PJs or yogas. I love to shop for clothes more! I can't wait for Christmas!! Lol

  11. I jog/walk in the pool. Get you some good supportive Water shoes. I have Tevas. It's much easier on your knees and feet, but you get the same benefits. I do aquafit 5 -6 days a week and them do the jog/walk 30 minutes after. I have a waterproof iPod shuffle that I can download music and audiobooks on. It helps pass the time. Ohhhh that sounds fun too!!!!! I love being in pools!!! I didn't know that jogging in water was same as out. Thank you!!
  12. Ok.... Today I walked 3.2 miles outside ???? I drove it first around my neighborhood to get the mileage to make sure it was 3... & I walked it then... Was a little over at .2 lol ???????? going at it tomorrow too. Going to start incorporating half run walk minutes to help increase my running endurance too. ????????
  13. I did depo years ago and it quickly put lots of weight on me. I don't recommend it. I have mirena & love it. I am going in this Thursday to have mine replaced actually because the one I have in now has been in for almost 5 years. Highly recommend mirena.

  15. Oh wow!!! Awesome!!! Got to download that too! Thank you! ???? I just found a beginner schedule for working your way up to a 5K WALKING/RUNNING weekly ???? I will keep you posted!
  16. Wow ladies how Awesome!!!!!! Ok you got me motivated to see if I can get to running too! I also am not a runner. I do have bad knees with little cartlidge & plantar fascititis in my feet. ???? but I am hoping as the weight continues to come off it will get better. I am going to start walking to get up to 5k & see if I can Do it too!!! ????????
  17. But yes my Doc does support getting moving & cardio & working out. ????
  18. No meaning it will build muscle & the pounds will not come down because muscle is heavier & also because when you workout heavy you need to eat more to support it. We are not eating enough calories to truly workout heavy HEAVY .... So that's what he meant. It would hinder the process. If you excessively exercise thinking you are helping the process you can be damaging your process. Your body needs the extra calories for extra rigorous exercises. ????
  19. How much do you work out? I am 10 weeks post op.... Just wondering how much everyone does. I see some do, some don't. Just wondering who does & what? I know Doc's say too much will hinder loss because of muscle gain.
  20. Ask if they can give you the scopalmine patch to go behind your ear and the zofran.
  21. I have IBS... I went daily before surgery. Would get stomach aches & cramping, bloating the whole nine yards. Now since surgery I was constipated after surgery, had to take miralax to get myself to start going again!!!! If I don't take it for a few days I get constipated immediately! So my Doc said take miralax once a day every day or every other day to keep it normal. Its just crazy the difference! I do not have bloating.... I have had a few occasional cramps...but never lasted all day like before surgery. I feel so much better since surgery.
  22. That's AWESOME!!! HAHAHAHA you go girl!!!
  23. Here is my face in May, surgery was in July..... This after is just on Labor Day weekend!! Only 2 months out!!!
  24. Awesome!! Good luck girl!!!
  25. I have OCD & anxiety & I have a HUGE fear of throw up.... I made it EXTREMELY CLEAR to my Doc & Anesthesiologist that I had these issues & DID NOT WANT TO THROW UP AT ALL... When I woke up or at home. I heard a lot of people say for the first month they are nauseous!!! Ohhh hell no!!!! I would not be able to handle that! So I made it very clear that it was a MAJOR MAJOR FEAR .... They were awesome!! They gave me the scopalmine patch behind my ear for surgery & loaded me up on zofran also & then they gave me some third anti nausea med also before surgery also....so I had 3 meds working on me when I work up from surgery. Not once was I sick or nauseaus!! Then they also loaded me up to go home with the zofran & the scopalmine patch also! I took it for the first few weeks lol I wanted to stay ahead of it so I didn't get behind & think I felt fine & then I feel sick or get sick! So I was totally fine!!!! Wooooo hooooo!!!! You can do this!!!!!!! Just make it VERY VERY clear that it is a HUGE FEAR of yours.... Not that you don't want to.... That it is a fear. Good luck girl. Let me know how it goes! ????????
