Well that is so true I am 5'6 and weigh 197 i am just getting into a size 16 who knows it also has to do with were you get them. I wear from a 14 to 16 to 18 to 20 The more you pay the smaller the size so wlmart I am a tight 16. Cant wait until i m a walmart 14 YEA.....................

I went to one there does he do it under floro. The one I went to did not and I chose to find one that would and found out that I had a swollen esphagus five time the size of what it should be. I have to be very careful and make sure I only eat certain foods or it will burst. I would have never know this until it happened because the Doctor in Jackson said I did not need to have this done. Can you fly, eat, hotel and have fill cheaper than $400. I checked flights and the fill which was $100. I couldn't find it that cheap. Besides I would have to take two days of and I want to save as much of my time as possible. let me know if you can and what flight you are taking.

Hi floydsgurl, Nice to have you here on this tread were do you live in Memphis? Your first visit cost the most $610. that includs consult fill and floro. each visit after that will run $400. I really like Dr. Houston he took a lot of time with me and answer all question. At first I thought he had an attitude because he is very to the point, but before the consult was over he became a Doctor that I felt I had been seeing forever very funny and caring.....

I am so proud of you you will give everyone who either are having second thought about having this surgery done or has heard alot of neg. things the courage to go for it.....

I have a 10cm band it will only hold 4cc I am up to 2.8 with some restriction. I think one more fill and I will be right where I need to be. Has anyone tried turkey meat balls by fit & active by Moma Cozzi they are great 6 meatballs for 190 cal 15grams of protein. I got them at aldi they are great...

Dr Hugh Houston does my at Hospital under floro. with two xray tech.

I know my is head hunger. Once I put something sweet yogurt,fruit it only makes me want more sweet things. If I stay away from these thing for a few days and it gets out of my system. I tend to have less head hunger

I have tried them all the lowest in cal is Advant edge and it has 15 Pro. The reason the Dr. put me on this is because its suger free. I am only allowed 500 to 700 cals a day and this is hard to do with out have the lowest cal count that you can find so that you still get 60 gram protein a day........It is so hard...........I am still not controled yet my mind takes me back to old habits.....

La Madam you sound just like my Doctor. Word for word are sur you don't go to him. I do not feel full when I eat But I am now using you info and I eat what should be ate with the band. So times it is hard and so times it is not , But I am losing I have my mind where it needs to be I think I could do this with out the band write now. But I know that there will come a time when I will be back to my old ways and will need the help from this band. I just don't understand about these band and how much you can have put in them. I have brought this up in the past and have received different answer. I have a 10cc Inamed band how much does it hold some has said 4cc other say 10 cc I have ask one I have forgotten to ask the Doctor which I will do next visit. I know the surgeon told me about it but I just am so confused

Melissa Lea, I felt a uncomfortable feeling thought it was normal. I would not have know about this if I had not had floro done Dr. Houston showed me my sister floro picture. Her esophagus is five times smaller than myine . Dr Houston didn't say he told me to baby it and not to eat steak or bread and to chew well. I have and will continue to do this until my next fill. Iam praying that it will go down....

It is different for each person. Don't be concerned that you may need mor that other you will get there if you just have faith....

I am a Business Office Manager for a large Medical Practice in Memphis Tn. You know I think it is the fear of not being able to do this and every one saying things behind your back when you don't lose the weight fast enough or maybe the fear of people saying you have to go threw a surgery because you are to lazy to stop feeding you face.....

lizzilo I know where you are coming from I was up to the time I was on the operating table I remeber think I am not going to do this and the knext thing I remember was waking up in recover... See you are not alone...
