  1. You say that at six months you were "allowed so much more"... You weren't forced to have more... Why not go back to the way things were in the first six months... Obviously you're not ready to make the change... The mental game is just as important as the physical... Go back, get your head right and move on only when YOU are ready... Of course, I don't know nuthin' about nuthin'... But it might be worth a crack... Good luck @@sbg224 Keep us posted...
  2. You're doing well @@demonchick It will all come to you... And what doesn't can be covered in here... Ask anything... No matter how seemingly personal or confronting... There's very little judgement here... Good luck to you!!!
  3. Congrats, well done and welcome...
  4. @@jintycb "Practise clothes"?? Unless you "practice" in a piece of thread that will not even contain your plums (not that you have them I assume) the I think you're gonna have to do better than that...
  5. @@jintycb You think your promise was foolish?? I made a deal with a friend of mine that if she came on a cruise in November (group thing), I'd Celebrate my weight loss by posing for pics on the top deck of the ship, wearing nothing but a flouro green mankini!!! Oh yeah... Who's the foolish one now????
  6. My amateur opinion is as follows... You've just had major surgery... I mean, what we have done to us, it's some heavy s**t!! For now, forget who has been to visit or who is checking in.. You've got more important things to worry about... Focus on getting yourself up and about as soon as you can... Focus on getting your Protein and your Water into you... Focus on what your surgeon says you can/cannot/should do... Your friend are probably unsure how to react or help out... They'll come good... And if they don't - so be it.. It's YOU time now... Even if the only one to focus on you is YOU... And don't forget that as your fat 'melts', stored up hormones and stuff are released... And that can REALLY f**k your s**t up... You'll get there @@bama41 Just hang here as much as you need to and ask as many questions as you want... But before you ask, look around the forum... Most questions have already been answered to some degree... Good luck to you mate... Keep us posted here as the days and weeks unfold for you...
  7. Well... That escalated quickly...
  8. @@Sharon1964 Your post made me laugh... Out loud... In a room by myself... Like a crazy man... And I don't laugh... Ever!! Good job. That is all...
  9. Yep... I had to look... The TMI warning was too much to resist.. And I got exactly what I deserved...
  10. Oh... It's not about me... I saw "Feeling Kinda..." and thought I'd best see what was happening... But alas, it's not as I had hoped... Anyway, I'll go with this... Hang around this place... There's all sorts of support and stuff... And please notice that, as requested - No rudeness!!
  11. Don't listen to any of them... You just listen to me... CRAZY!!! That is all...
  12. Oooorrrrrr... Those who enjoy chat can just go there and hang out until someone else turns up... That's what I do most (Australian) evenings despite the fact that this forum is mostly folks from the US who are asleep at this time... Sometimes nobody turns up... Sometimes people do... In my opinion, formalizing who can chat and when and what about (potentially) is a little unnecessary... Let's just hang out and meet people... Too many rules crushes my spirit... Or something like that.. Of course, I could be wrong...
  13. I concur... Definitely crazy... That is all...
  14. It'll help @@Caycee Stick with it and keep your chin up...
  15. Great job @@elo402 What a head start!! You're f***ing awesome!!!
  16. "Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof..."
  17. Not an issue I had but it's possibly the result of the release of hormones that have been stored up in your fat cells... Hopefully (for you and your partner) things will balance out once your body settles down and gets into a rhythm..
  18. To the OP... As a man who is really crappy at the boy/girl thing, I'd hazard a guess that your man there has meant nothing but good things from his outburst... No matter how well we've rehearsed our lines or worked out what we want to say, sometimes we just say EXACTLY what we're thinking... If what is blurted out sounds bad, it's not meant to... It's a genuine reaction to whatever is before us.. In my opinion, the man was well pleased with what he had discovered and simply said what was on his mind... And let's face it - There should probably be a little more of that kinda thing in our lives... Enjoy!!
  19. Oh me too... I'm getting hit on allllllll the time...
  20. Embrace it... It could be with you for some time... I've just gone a year out and I get then all the time... It could be worse - I'd prefer hiccups to heartburn or indigestion...
  21. New friends and support is everywhere... Just find someone who is what you're looking for and reach out to them... Most around here are pretty up front and happy to help out...
  22. If you're having a few issues with sausage, is it an option to give tongue a try... I mean, it's not for everyone, but some people swear by it... I know, I know... Get out!!
  23. Yeah... You're probably gonna die of starvation... Or kill someone out of frustration!!! Of course, I jest (for your sake, I hope I jest!!).. But yeah, the liquid diet SUX BALLS!!! As harsh as this may sound, you've just gotta suck it up and get on with it... What you may be experiencing is head hunger... As you've not chewed anything, you body assumes you've not eaten.. Have a crack at chewing some ice cubes... It's like food AND water!! And if all else fails, come in here and go nuts at some d*ckhead who asks whether it's ok to have a Coke and pizza at the end of week one... Good luck!!!
  24. Hi baileyj908... I mean no disrespect when I ask the following... Did you just ask for information that you know is going to be [a] the same as, or similar to, information that you already have, and ultimately not relevant your own situation? The reality is, if you seem to be losing slower than others, you probably are.. How are you measuring your rate of loss compared to everyone else? Pound for pound? Comparing starting weights? Comparing goal weights? Comparing percentage of bodyweight lost? Ultimately, here's what matters - Are you being accurate and obsessive with your protein/water and following your surgeon/nutritionists? They know best (usually).. They know YOUR situation better than anyone else, especially in here or on Facebook... Do what they and you'll get there... In my opinion, any further information you get re the loss rate of others will only serve to confuse and dishearten you until you come across someone who is losing at a slower rate than you - And I guarantee that there will be many out there who are doing just that!! Of course, you can always tell me to mind my own business... But for mine, you're better of NOT comparing... Good luck..
