  1. you can add the unflavored powder to pretty much anything. I've added it to my scrambled eggs before I cook them, yogurt, cottage cheese, jello (add it to it when it's still in liquid form).
  2. i felt no restriction with liquids either. I started my stage three foods today and it is a total world of difference! I can only take a few bites and feel stuffed. I could drink a whole 10oz protein shake before and still feel hungry. solid foods make a huge difference.
  3. the flavor stays with me too. my life saver has been tic tac mints!
  4. i was super nervous when I found out about the catheter too as I had never had one. Ended up being the best thing. it wasn't uncomfortable at all and made it less painful as I didn't have to get up to pee all the time that first day of surgery. they took it out he next day.
  5. I'm having my first bout with constipation. I've never had it this bad. I started miralax today. I'm hoping it kicks in soon! I'm dying!
  6. i did this too before surgery. I'm two weeks out from surgery and I'm lucky if I pee two or three times a day. I get my 64oz of water every day. not sure why that is. maybe my body absorbs it more since that's mainly what I'm taking in all day.
  7. same here. I could use some ideas too!
  8. I'm right there with you. I was sleeved on the 13th. I have a good day then a bad day. Yesterday was a bad day. Had an incision start bleeding a little and seemed like everything I ate made me nauseous. Today I feel great! Only struggle today is I keep feeling like I'm hungry every couple of hours which I'm sure is all in my head. Also I haven't gotten in any protein today because I can't hardly stomach the taste of the shakes all of a sudden.
  9. My sleeve was on 5/13. I think your feelings are normal. I have them too. I don't want to fail at this like I have ever other diet in my life. Thank God my family, friends and co workers have been 100% supportive. I don't know how anyone could go through all of this without support. Yesterday was a bit of a down day for me. One of my incisions was bleeding a little and I was nauseous all day and couldn't eat much. I woke up today feeling much better. Gonna try and get out and about today. Good luck with your recovery. You'll do awesome!
  10. My surgery was on the 13th. I was weighed the morning of surgery at the hospital but that's it. They didn't weigh me after that because they said the same thing everyone else had posted that chances are you'll be up because of all the fluids they give you through your I.V. while you're in the hospital. I'm going to stay off the scale until I go to my one week post op visit with my surgeon.
  11. I have Cigna. I was told they have 30 days to approve or deny, however mine was approved in 3 days.
  12. I just had surgery Wednesday. Here's some essentials I took... Chap stick Pillow Ear buds Shoes that u can just slip on. Bending over to put on shoes is usually a no go Lotion-my skin stayed very dry Shaker cup- all of my meals came with Protein powder and Water but no way to actually mix it together Good luck!
  13. Sleeved on may 13th. Second day home. Struggling to get the protein in but having no problems with the fluid. I'm sure it will get easier as the days go on. Excited about my journey to come!
