  1. I am officially one year post op and lost 100 pounds! I've only got 20 more pounds to get to my overall goal. I am able to eat more now and drink carbonated beverages. I'm starting to binge eat again [emoji30] I haven't gained any weight yet but I am struggling to stay on track. Any tips for motivation?
  2. Thank you! My dietician said I'm not getting enough calories to workout and that it may be a few months! I want to get started you know? Maybe I'll call them on Monday and ask if I can again haha. Bread is my weakness too. I thought sweets would be harder but there's so many sugar free options these days that you can find something to curb it.

  4. How long after surgery did you wait to do full blown exercise? And how do you stay successful by staying away from the carbs!! I'm struggling a little bit the last couple days wanting all the stuff I don't need. I want out of this funk!
  5. I had Gastric Bypass done almost 3 weeks ago. I'm down 20 pounds. 35 since pre surgery diet. Everything has gone smoothly until the last couple days I'm like mourning the foods I used to love. I keep adding tiny bits of carbs into my diet when I know I shouldn't. I'm scared I'm doing poorly and just curious how everyone got over their food cravings and stayed positive?

  8. Thank you! It's nice having the chance to talk to people who understand.

  10. imjenn thank you for understanding! I never thought of food as an addiction until recently. I'm really struggling with it. They all know I'm having the surgery done. I'm a very open person. If I can't share these big decisions in my life with people I see everyday I question the decision. They just don't seem to understand! I'm thinking about checking out some podcasts or a book about food addiction that may bring some help motivating and keep me on the right path!
  11. Yes I already do that. The offers and pushing don't stop! I know I need to just get over it and toughen up but sometimes it's hard to stay motivated! ????
  12. Hey guys! I am about a month and a half away from surgery and trying to stick to the 12-1500 calorie diet. I've actually lost 12 pounds! The people at my work are constantly bringing food and literally walking it up to me and offering and I've even got some guilt trips for not eating their food. Any tips to help get past the huge urge to want to eat all this bad stuff!! I am trying to stay motivated but it's very hard.
  13. My name is Christina and I am new to this site! I have a tentative surgery date on June 29th 2015. I have one more set of appointments and then all my info gets submited for final approval! One of the things I've been worrying about is the excess skin issue. I am wondering if anyone has had any luck doing lots of toning and working out post op and was able to prevent this?
