  1. Totally agree... with regard to the amount you are eating, try not to eat more. at this stage according to my nutritionist I should be able to eat 4 ounces, so I measure my food. I don't wish to stretch my sleeve which is possible to do. Check with your nutritionist and see what their plan is for you and measure. Idk if we can really rely on "feeling full" anymore.Good luck! I have these 4 ounce containers that I use. I meal prep and they come in handy
  2. I'm eating things like tuna, eggs, grits, chicken, pulled pork, veggies, things like that. 4 ounces is a half a cup which is what my plan calls for. Depending on the food I can tolerate more. Like an egg, I can only eat one....if I eat grits I can eat almost a.cup
  3. Ok. I am 4 weeks post op as of two days ago. The day of my surgery I weighed 311. Today I weighed 295. That's 16 pounds in 32 days. Is that average? Also I have been 295 for 2 weeks now. I'm stuck. Will this pick up. One more ? before I go, sometimes I can only eat 4 ounces and I'm stuffed and other times I can eat way more...is this also normal?
  4. I'm 3 weeks post op today....I stalled over a week @ 305 and got down to 297 and now I'm stalled again
  5. I just wish I could loose as fast as I gain lol
  6. I do anywhere from 500 to 700 cals
  7. I do a protein shake in the morning....then for meals I do grits and tuna mainly. I don't mind eggs but they hurt a little. I cooked pinto beans and froze several 4oz containers. Beans were yummy lol. Sugar free pudding. That's about it
  8. My Dr told me he's not concerned with any weight loss until I'm 6 weeks post op. It's just hard to listen when your stuck at the scale. What foods do you eat right now?
  9. Oh ok...Yea that's me too. When I went in I weighed 311. The day I got discharged I weighed 316. Almost instantly I dropped to 305....been there the last 3 weeks
  10. Lol....It definitely gets easier. I was back in my bed sleeping on my side and belly about a week out. Today I have absolutely no pain. I can drink large amounts with no pain and I can eat about 4oz with no issue. I'm on my puree week and I live off of my protein shakes, grits, sf pudding, and the individual tuna packs. The tuna is a little heavier than the grits so I can only eat a 2 oz pack. I had a half of biscuit with gravy yesterdAy and I thought I was gonna die lol....didn't agree with the choice I made but damn it tasted good lol....
  11. Have you lost any weight since the surgery....I have stayed the same and it's starting to irritate me
  12. I had my surgery on the 27th as well. The second and third day was the absolute worst. There is no way your going to get 8oz down at a time. They say to try and drink every 15 minutes. I used gas x strips for the first 2 weeks for the gas and didn't have a bm for about 5 days. I still don't have one everyday and constipation is a constant issue. Good luck to you.
  13. Nope....only cheAted one time and I got me a mini blizzard. I ate like 5 bites and that's it.
  14. Only complaint I have is I still haven't lost one pound and it's been 3 weeks
  15. I am finally three weeks today and doing great. I can drink anything with no problem and I started soft foods yesterday. I can eat one egg or 2 oz of tuna before my body tells me it's time to stop.
  16. That's how I feel...like my surgery didn't "take" lol. Now I feel as though I'm eating to much when in reality I'm maybe eating 600 calories tops. I'm really just one of these who get obsessed over it. Drives me nuts lol.
  17. I have some drinks that I love so protein ain't my issue. I just didn't know if I was screwing up. I'm 13 days out and haven't lost an ounce
  18. Yea everyone tells me to throw away the scales. Even my Dr said he isint worried about my weight loss until my 6 week follow up
  19. I haven't lost ANY weight since the of my surgery. Hello Sarah. I can't get in all my fluids either....I'm averaging about 40 to 50 ounces a day. I quit keeping count really. As far as pain, the only pain I have is in my chest when the food passes through. Don't know why or what it is. Have you lost any weight?
  20. Idk....I haven't gained but I haven't lost one pound and am going on 13 days. I drink 2 premier protein shakes a day. That's 60 grams. Today I started grits and pureed veggies.
  21. I'm officIally on my 3 week foods tomorrow. I have no idea how to get my self on a schedule to where I'm not eating every two hours. I still need 2 protein shakes a day to get my 60g of protein in. Can someone give me an example of how to start eating right. I have tuna beans eggs grits sf pudding carrots green beans yogurt applesauce and bananas. I'm so confused. I also haven't lost a pound since I had my surgery on 4/27. HELP!!!!
