My list of things doesnt sound like much but we will see. Also my son is going to have WLS when i do so we go through it together. 16. I talked to my insurance yesterday. They said to get a recommendation from my pcp for the surgeon and follow what him and his team say and it should be fine...... I hope i got the right info..... Seems too easy
  17. I actually just met with my "team" last Wednesday.... sounds much like yours right down to me working in the hospital that I will have surgery in. my main concern with that part is I work in the OR so pretty much everyone will know I'm there and I'm not sure I like that but its the only way I can do it. I also got an email saying I have to have a sleep study which concerns me because I mostly sleep in a recliner because of my back and I know the sleep studies are laying in a bed so I'm not sure how well that will go. then I have a list of other things to do as well. can anyone give me a time frame of how long all the "pre-op" can take???
  18. hello all: I just got my list of to dos today. It seems a bit overwhelming to look at and try to plan out. with my doctor, before you get the list of things to do to be able to schedule the surgery, I had to meet with him, a dietitian, and a psychologist. today I got the list. nothing has been said about a 3 month diet maybe because my bmi is 46 but I am required to go to a 3 hour session about preoperative readiness. maybe something will be mentioned then. only thing is that its only once a month and this month has past. I'm just anxious to get the ball rolling because I have just started.
