I have mild apnea they said.... it's really hard for me to sleep with it. I can get like 4 hours before I'm up and taking it off. I'm use to sleeping on my stomach and it's hard to do with that tube.

I'm not sure I did have to have ??goop?? Lol I took a wrist watch thing home for my test and then brought it back. *didn't

I have been approved for surgery. My consult with surgeon is Sept 25. So I'm hoping g for October or November surgery.

I have my consult with my surgeon next month so I have been through the sleep apnea test already. I didn't think I had sleep apnea and come to Find out I do. I know once I found in had it I had to use it every night since that appt. Do I use it??? Not really. I understand the importance of it but I work 2 jobs and I do not get any sleep with it on. It's really uncomfortable and it wakes me up every night. It is very quiet and I have the newest version on the machine but I can't get use to it. My surgeon required you to bring it on day of surgery or you will not have surgery. Hopefully you have better luck with it than I do. I have tried different mask and everything but I can't get use to it. Good luck guys!

Yea well they scheduled my my consult sept 25 almost 2 months out so I was hoping I can get my date on the day. They said Dr McArthur would not be back until sept.

That's great. I will get a surgery date on Sept 25. I have kaiser so I had to go through a 6 month preparation program first. I will be glad when all the wait is over. I was required to do all the testing and eval during my 6 months so hopefully there is not much I ill need to do before surgery. Good luck on your approval.

So this past Tuesday my case was reviewed and approved for the vsg! Yesterday I got a call from the surgeons office that my consult will be sept 25. Which is almost 2 months away. So I'm probably having my surgery in october. Or early November. This is def linger than I anticipated, however I'm am grateful that I was approved with no hassle. Did anyone else have a big gap from approval to their first appt or surgery date? Who else will be having surgery in the fall?

Yeah by the time it finally happens it will be almost a yr that I started this. At least we know it's coming. I hope oct too. Did you choose Dr cantor or mccarthy

They just called me too. I'm meeting him on Sept 25. But that's just the first appt. We still have to wait for an actual surgery date. That seems long.
