  1. Which one? I was BANDED twice. 1st 12/22/10 2nd 2/11/14. The first one slipped & was placed too low (as per Doctor). The second one worked fine for 1/2 year then I wasn't able to tolerate the fills........ NOW!!!!!!! As a SLEEVER ( 8days post-op) I'm finding my way. Still swollen but I can say this, my liquids flow freely without coming back up when I had that darn BAND. I know I've made the right decision. Best of Luck to all & stay Blessed
  2. I did not have a drainage tube & I'm fine. Revised 5/27/15.
  3. Band removed & Sleeve done 5/27/15. Mind you I was first Banded in 2010 then Band replaced in 2014. I had success in the beginning with the Band, then the slips & not being able to tolerate food. Also the Band is not a FOREVER thing in which is not told in the beginning. I work in the medical field & 3 Nurses that had the Band for 7 plus years revised to sleeve & the Scar tissue from the band had started attaching to the Liver. My scar tissue wasn't bad at all being that I just had it replaced in 2014. I'm in the healing process but thanking GOD everyday that I not only maintained, but that I'm making it through day by day. Much success to each of you.
  4. I was Band removal & Sleeved same day. 5/27/15. Ins UNHC/OXFORD wouldn't pay at one hospital & my Surgeon made them qualify me to another hospital. I'm in the healing process but thanking God that part is over. Good luck
