I was not prepared for this. I was ok most of the day. And now I've been running (no pun intended ????) to the bathroom.

I don't know if it's because the vitamins or what. I'm not eating anything I wouldn't have before besides them. :/

So the gallbladder thing. Is that something you need to do or is it elective and why? Just curious. My doctor will automatically do it, if he sees that it is needed during my bariatric surgery.

My surgery date is Sept 14th with Dr slayden at St lukes south! I live quite a ways from kc but I'm out there regularly.

I know there are a TON of posts like this but....I wanted to make mine a little different. I'm trying to pick things up every once in a while so I'm not left with this huge shopping trip right before surgery. First, I'm required to do a 2 week low carb high Protein diet. 2 meals a day and 2/3 shakes a day (sorry can't remember if it's 3 or not). If you did a diet like this, what did you actually eat compared to what you bought to eat? Also, the day before surgery I have to drink two bottles of Isopure. What are your favorite and least favorite flavors? Third. What did you REALLY need at the hospital? I'm an over packer and I don't want to bring much of anything haha. That's my goal anyway. Last but not least. Post op diet for the first few weeks. What did you try? What did you like, what don't you like now? Things I should try? I'm going to try really hard not to buy anything that got me to where I am now. I've seen some lists and I'm super surprised at some of the items that were consumed and (I assume) were doctor approved. The goal is as clean as I can be during the soft stage. This sucks! The waiting game is over rated. I even called my insurance to inquire about my surgery approval, they were no help. They acted like I was crazy. How long did you wait for a call back??

I was approved! !!! Hopefully the nurse calls tomorrow to set up surgery.

Who do you have? I have capital blur cross and they were rude to me and she kept saying "I don't know what you're asking!" . Did you call the reg customer service or claims? I'm going to call again tomorrow.

Let's talk weight fluctuation. These weigh ins are going to be the death of me! I fluctuate A LOT! 10ish lbs usually. I have had one weigh in up 7 lbs and tomorrow is my last class and I can already tell I'll be up. Anyone else have this issue? I'm so worried about insurance denying because of it but I don't know what to do. It changes so much day to do.

I guess I should have said that o haven't actually truly gained either...just my reg fluctuation I'll be right back to my normal weight tomorrow or the next day.

I wasn't required to lose weight, I did do some changes to prepare for post op. But I'm having surgery because I have a very hard time losing weight. But i had my last class today and I was up but she said that with the insurance I have, that I should be ok.

I don't live in kc anymore, but I'm going trough St. Luke's for surgery. Just looking to expand my support group a little more.

Not yet. My last class is next week (my dr requires 4 or 7 even if insurance requires 3 or 6). And then hopefully it'll be quick from there. Where in sw mo?
