  1. So the gallbladder thing. Is that something you need to do or is it elective and why? Just curious.
  2. Me also. Hope to have date by sept 1 and hoping for surgery about oct 1
  3. I've admitted I snore badly and I've never been tested for sleep apnea but my insurance nor surgeon require a sleep test. I've had plenty of other hoops to jump through but not that one.
  4. Sjfink try searching September sleevers in your FB search bar. If you already clicked on accept invite in the actual email then it should let you see it now in your groups.
  5. My book from surgeon explains it is to shink the liver and also serves as a bowel prep for surgery. But I think the 2 week guideline is because that is as long as we can tolerate such low calories prior to surgery. I know others only have 1 week or even less, but I also have 2 weeks to do - I hear it is the HARDEST part of the entire process. I know I practiced just one day of it recently and was starving so it will be hard.
  6. As a member of this thread and our new FB secret group we share great stuff here but we've become truly friends with each other on the FB page. Even with support from our families, nothing compares to the support of others going thru almost identical preparation and near the same timeline. It's great!
  7. I plan one week off and 2nd week working from home. It's a "behind computer" and on conference calls job so I should be fine.
  8. I've told my manager and one close friend coworker. They both are supportive. But I don't plan to tell most associates at first.
  9. MarciaN that would be awesome! I've been told by my case worker approval takes about 3 weeks once she submits it and then depends how surgeons schedule looks. But would love to find a buddy that will be on my timeframe!
  10. I'm on month 5 of 6 with my nutritionist. Like most plans I don't have to lose during this time but CANNOT gain (not even one monthly weigh in can be higher than recorded start weight!). So far this has been my weigh ins: down 5, same, down 1, same, and have to weigh in Monday again. Nervous I'm up since last month but not over starting so should be ok. Month 6 is the 3 hour class on August 20th and since nutrition is part of that it counts as 6th visit. Then we can finally file w insurance!!!
  11. Thanks. Found it. Didn't check my yahoo mail was looking in FB for it ????
  12. I didn't see an invite. Can you add me please? My FB email is ksku2008@yahoo.com
  13. Can I be added to the FB invite? My FB email is ksku2008@yahoo.com
  14. I had my EGD last Thursday and I was nervous because I really have never had anything done under sedation. It was piece of cake. Walked out in 2 hours feeling perfectly normal. Had lunch w my mom right after leaving surgery center. Not even a sore throat.
