What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
I was kicked out of the military after 8 years because I continously failed at losing weight. Never mind the comments/looks, being denied promotion though I excelled at everything else...I loved my career and my people and I lost it over a push up. Also my dad weighs 600lbs. I did not grow up with him. The reasons he is obese can not be the reasons I am obese. All I know is that he is in terrible pain and has to watch life from inside his home. I have to break the cycle. And lastly, you know that feeling of not wanting to be in your own skin? I felt such physical and emotional discomfort just being me. It all had to change. I'm now 7 wks post op and down 27lbs. I'm looking forward to the future.

One month post op
@@LisaAlwaysSmiling My Fitness Pal app on your phone is probably the easiest and most effective way to count your calories. I find it very helpful for tracking my Protein. Best of luck to you!

Exploring Options - BCBS of Michigan
I had my surgery with Dr. Pop at Barix. It is a great facility with great people!

Is it odd
Awesome, thank you for the input!

Is it odd
I know I've had head hunger and thankfully been able to find a way distract myself from it. @@newbeginning77 are you able to get all your protein with those measurements? How does your body tell you thay you're full?
-
Is it odd
I'm definitely not there yet. I would never get my Protein in if I could eat 1/2 C vegetables. I had shrimp today, 6 of them and it felt exactly the same as 10 so I'll will use caution, bc I obviously do not know! Lol

Will I be okay to take a final exam 1 week after surgery?
I am a student too. Had my surgery on 5 May and started summer semester on the 11th. Honestly, you could tough through it, but it will be stressful. Sitting was the worst for me. At home we are a little reclined back, at a desk hovering over papers puts uncomfortable pressure on the incisions. Also, you will still tire easily. If possible, be as rested as possible, have someone drive you and allow plenty of time for all those stairs.

Vitamins
I absolutely dreaded chewing the celebrate multi-v...I talked to my doc at 2 weeks, she said I could swallow pills but suggested I try to find smaller ones if possible...centrum women's offers a smaller pill. I tale it at night bc it sits a little heavy. Good luck!

Is it odd
Measuring is definitely the key for me, as I don't feel hungry or full, I could happily just drink Water all day but it makes sense to just do less. Thanks guys I genuinely appreciate the input!

Is it odd
Yes, the chicken is very soft and I make sure to chew well also. Do you think I should just choose to eat less? I try for 4 small meals a day and that has been fine. I average 500-600 cals and make all my Protein and fluids. And thank you for responding! I just don't want to mess this up.

Michigan sleevers
It did very much so! Thank you!!
-
Is it odd
Is it odd that at 3.5 weeks I am able to eat 10 medium shrimp or 3 oz of chicken without pushing limits. I've followed every rule set by my doctor and have been trying to get enough rest to heal...my point is. Should I be concerned that I'm eating too much?

"The perfect body" video ❤❤❤
It's such a simple concept, but requires such persistence. To not internalize outside standards is difficult. I know I didn't grow to hate my body over night and every day I make an effort to tell myself and I am worth not only my own love but others as well. Great video!

May Sleevers...where are you?
@@bestisyettocome859 I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts. I was also sleeved on the 5th and you have to be an amazing person to handle both simultaneously. Keep your head up and water down.
