  3. Hello all, I will be banded on the 20th at 1:00pm. Nervous and wondering if I'm doing the right thing. However I'm going through with it. I was super sick the first eight days of the liquid drinks and as of yesterday I'm not sick to my stomach and my head is not hurting. I'm hungry but can tolerate my stomach being hungry. I have been reading the post here for six months. I will be paying for this on my own. Took out a loan and hope this is going to be a life changing in a positive way for me. I have a seven year old daughter that I want to do things with and at this weight I don't. I will keep all of you in my prayers and will post once I'm able too. God Bless.
  4. I will be band on the 20th at 1:00pm and I was excited but now I'm wondering if I made the right decision and I'm scared and even feel like crying. I had to take a loan out on my house and I'm scared to death that something will go wrong say seven years from now and it will take me five years to pay for this operation. Anybody else feel this way? Or all these thoughts normal?
  5. I will be banded on November 20th. I'm on day six of optifast and I'm starving. My stomach doesn't stop growling. I keep thinking since I'm hungry why am I doing this. I keep telling myself it gets better and I need this for my health and for me needing to be around to raise my seven year old daughter. USA Linetta - South Dakota
  6. This is my first post about myself. I'm scheduled to have surgery Dec. 20th. Started optifast last Thursday and all I can think about is eating and all the food I will be missing. I believe I'm thinking about food is because I'm hungry all the time. I also have loose stools from the drinks and today I have a headache that will not go away. I wanted this surgery and have been reading all the post for four months. I have spent hours researching lap band surgery. I live in SD and I was going to have lap band surgery in Mexico but could not find a doctor that would be a fill doctor for me. So I'm going to spend extra money I don't have and have Dr. Reynolds in Mitchell, SD perform the surgery. Also since I'm hungry I think about if I'm going to be able to handle all the food I currently want to eat because I can't have it. Anybody else experience the feelings I'm currently having? Does it get easier doing optifast or do I have ten days of hunger to deal with as I work? Linetta
