  6. My date is Aug 11!!! From Syracuse NY here...getting nervous on a roller coaster of emotions
  7. I've purchased Unjury sample kit as.well, unjury seems to be the only one I like aside from Premier Protein. Sams does have them, where I'm located anyways. 12 pack for $18.88...only place I can find it! Also our local Vitamins shoppe hosts a bariatric night once a month where u can come and sample tons of protein powders and drinks. Even on a regular day they are really good with letting u sample. Try them!!
  8. I'm pre op as well but can relate in tons of ways. I started this journey officially in January 2014. I'm prone to anxiety and panic attacks, in fact I had a full blown panic attack during my first meeting with my surgeon which led to palpitations and having to see a cardio for clearance. All is well it was all anxiety related. I've had this forever. I jumped through all the loops and was scheduled for surgery Sept '14...long story short, 4 days into my pre open diet I let me thoughts and anxiety take over..I cancelled my surgery. I weighed 300 lbs at the time got down to 289, decided I was too scared for surgery. Well in March of this year I met back up with my surgeon to try again. And guess what I weigh now? The highest I've ever ever been, 323 lbs. In a matter of months. Clearly I cannot do this on my own. I'm in terrible shape, can barely walk, back pain, can't move around, sex life sucks, I'm married with 4 kids and I'm only 30. I'm now scheduled for Aug 11. I still have anxiety and panic, I'm still terrified of surgery, all aspects of it, however I have to do this. I'm more afraid of a heart attack, diabetes, stroke and being bed ridden. Ill take this surgery and run with it. I've recognized my fear. We got this. Stay strong.
  9. I'm scheduled for August 11
  10. Yay!!! I'm scheduled for Aug 11, keep in touch!!!
  11. Name is Sharon. Have always been a pretty laid back, easy going person, easy to get along with. Nothing extravagant or out of the world. I'm so at ease with the simple things in life, shelter, food water, clothes and family/love. Doesn't get any "simpler" than that lol
  12. Sick how? What's wrong
  13. Prayers for tomorrow!!! Smooth surgery and recovery coming your way! Keep us posted
  14. I wanna try premier protein so bad but scared to buy a bunch if I may not like it....hard to find too!
  15. Not rejecting my surgeons advice. As I stated previously I was just wondering what other people would do? I'll make my own decision in the end but it wouldn't hurt to see what people thought...according to my surgeon it won't hurt to leave it, according to me it won't hurt to leave it OR take it out, but thank you for your OPINION.
  16. So I have the nexplanon birth control. I've had it for almost 7 months. My surgeon is fully aware of this as well as my pcp. I asked him if it was anything I need to be concerned about or have removed before surgery. He said no, it's actually one of the best methods for his bariatric patients. I am a little weary of his decision as I know that with any birth control there is a slightly higher risk of blood clots. He said estrogen is the key factor in blood clots/surgery & nexplanon is estrogen free & not to worry. I'm thinking of just taking it out prior to surgery for peace of mind & putting in back In a few weeks after surgery? but does anyone have any input/advice/thoughts? I've already consulted my drs so I'm simply seeking opinions and btw I love this bc no side effects and no periods! What would you do?!
  17. Not yet, got my approval a few weeks ago. I'm still waiting for my date! Nervous but ready to get it over with!! :-)

  21. Maybe God didn't want you to remember the old stats?
  22. I'm literally thinking of changing my mind...this has scared me to be honest....
  23. I personally haven't but have heard many ppl who have. Typically it's due to low blood pressure upon standing. Dehydration is a big factor. Drink some g2...& of course always consult your surgeons team. 2 weeks is still early get fluids in and take it easy
  24. I should also mention im from NY and have been approved for VSG
