  1. I had the lap band in February 2008. I've been so off track and can't seem to get back my focus. I didn't know it would be so hard! I just spent an hour looking at before and after pictures of others and dreaming! I WANT TO BE MY OWN BEFORE AND AFTER ..I'M TIRED OF THE FANTASY..I WANT IT TO BE MY REALITY!!!!!!
  2. I know these posts are a bit old, but I'd like to say that I had my surgery with Dr. Selim and have had three fills. I have nothing bad to say about him or my experience. He's very talented and professional!
  3. Was that with pre-op weight loss too?
  4. I made it into the 2's today!!!!!!!!!
  5. I'll have to go home and check the brand, but I buy them at Walmart. They are 60 calories. I also use them to make chips. I bake them with pam and garlic seasoning! SO GOOD! I'm on the Missouri side. Who did you surgery? Are you going to support groups anywhere? I need to do that.
  6. The low carb flour shells are better for you.
  7. Hey, I'm from Missouri as well and we have a similar band date. Where are you?
  8. My vote is you are not eating enough calories. I eat anywhere from 1000-1300 calories a day and I try to vary this so my body doesn't get stuck. I had surgery 6 months ago and I've lost 60 pounds so far. I've noticed that if I eat less, then I don't lose. I also workout about an hour a day with both cardio and weights. Here's a typical day for me: BK: Protein shake(15 protein) AM snack: Greek Yogurt(13 protein) Lunch: Tuna w/ a little mayo and sweet relish(20 protein) Tomato slices or a little fruit if I have any room Snack: Fruit/or/almonds(6 protein)/or/cottage cheese(12 protein) Dinner: Chicken(2-3 oz)(18-27 protein) Veggie Snack: protein bar(20 protein) Hope this helps and good luck in your journey.
  9. My four year old got strep throat 2 weeks before my surgery..so guess what..about a week before my surgery, I got it too. I called my primary doctor and explained that the surgery was coming up so without seeing me or anything she prescribed some high powered antibiotics and I got in 3 or 4 days of them prior to the surgery. My surgeon then put me on another full dose after the surgery. All went well!
  10. Count me in! I have a countdown to my 36th birthday celebration..I have 46 days to look my best. I'm in for at least 5 days per week. Yesterday: 15 minutes elliptical 30 minutes circuit 15 minutes bike Need to up that cardio! I'm on it..thanks for the inspiration! I've never liked exercise..so keep the positive words coming!
  11. Okay, I had my third fill on July 3rd. Today is July 22nd. I've lost 10 pounds since then. It was going great..now it has slowed and I'm down about it. It also seems as though I'm really tight in the morning and I'm doing protein shakes then. As the day goes on it gets looser and by evening I can eat a lot more than I should be able to. My third fill was the only fill that caused any restriction. Do I need another? Is there a way that helps it stay tight all day? Let me know your experiences...
  12. Omg!!!!! That is wonderful! You have to be on cloud nine! Now gets those pics posted so we can all be jealous!!!!!!
  13. How many milligrams????
  14. I'm in KC but I just got my band February 2008. Let me know if I can help.
