  11. I'm no longer limited by stores that have a plus size section! I can shop in regular sized clothing sections!
  12. I am right there alongside you! I've been at 114lbs lost for almost a month (I'm 7 months out). Soo frustrating! I'm going to up my exercise from walking to a couch to 5K - since my case manager gave me the okay to start incorporating jogging into my routine. Hopefully that kicks this stall. We must keep going!!!!

  15.    BairwithMe reacted to a post in a topic: Richmond California Kaiser? anyone
  16. Sorry for the delay! My PCP sent my referral to a Health class which I had to complete at a local Kaiser before they would send my info along to Richmond. That was Nov 2014. I had my first class at Richmond (the 4 hour intro class) in January. I met Dr Baggs in early Feb and given a weight loss goal. Met with Dr Z. in early March (already at goal weight). Liz set up my surgery in mid-April.... But Liz added me to a cancellation call list(for those who don't meet goal weight etc), so I found out on the 20th March that I was bumped up to 25th March. So I had to go to my final pre-op prep class on the 24th March. I went in for surgery at 1pm, 25th March... I was at home the next day before noon. 3 weeks post op I saw Dr Baggs again and about a week later, Liz called and we chatted for about 30 minutes or so regarding everything. I hope this helps!

  21. I had my surgery at Richmond too! Yay! I'm so excited for you! I had a great experience. All I have to say is get up and walk, walk, walk!!! So excited for you! I had Dr Baggs too. He was so kind, took his time to talk to you on the day of surgery, swung by in the evening and then came again the next morning before I was discharged. I wasn't in the hospital for a full day (22hrs total)!
  22. Yay!!! Another Richmond Kaiser!!! I go to the support group in Vacaville - we have a full range of patients - pre and post op. It's a good group to vent or ask questions because they understand where you are or might have the same questions as you down the line.
  23. It's a forever habit - but you definitely get used to it! I'm 6 months out and it's completely natural now not to eat and drink at the same time.

  25. congratulations!!!!!
  26. I'm really excited to go skydiving (I know that I could've gone at my higher weight - but I am saving it as a reward)!!Also excited to go to theme parks and never have to wonder whether I'll fit in the seats.
  27. I went to friends first, let them score through my clothes - next stop is Goodwill. Congrats on the loss!!!
  28.    SkinnyDown reacted to a post in a topic: First dumping
  29. I don't think sugar is the only thing that can make us dump - I had a bite of regular old mashed potato (no added anything) and that made me dump... Yes potatoes can make our sugar spike - but nothing like a swig of the old mountain dew or something... I feel like the moral of my story is that everyone just has to learn their stomach - and take it slowly after surgery.
  30. I love Gwynnie Bee!!! Their customer service is great and they upgraded me for 4 items for the price of 3 just for staying on past the month free trial! It's definitely easier since I'm not trying to buy new clothes as I go down in size.
  31. My case manager prefers us to take centrum adult... That way you can choose between the chewables or non-chewable form. She recommended staying with the chewables until 3 months post op.... And you have to take 2 a day at least 2 hours apart and 2 hours away from the calcium citrate.
  32. @@likelike thank you! I'm sorry to hear about the attitudes of some of the people from your class though ????
  33. Starting at the orientation my bmi was 46.3.... I'm about 5 days from the operation and my bmi is 43.9. I've lost more than the required amount the doctor gave me.
