    Gas Pain HELP!

I was consistently moving too after my surgery. The gas pain was the worse thing!! At 3 weeks I felt so much better, that was when I felt normal again. Give it time, I know it's a terrible feeling but it will be over very soon
  4. I had that too, I think it's just part of the healing process. I was so thirsty all the time, but every sip would hurt. It will get better soon. I had surgery April 23rd and last week (may 18th) was the best I felt. I never had any issues just the pain when eating or drinking anything. Just part of the journey. Good luck!! You will feel 100% soon

    Getting sleeved in the morning!

Glad everyone's doing so well! I feel great today, the only problem I ever had was the gas pain in my chest the first 2 days. I went to a wedding Saturday and felt totally fine (my daughter was the flower girl so I HAD to be there) but no pain at all. So far I'm down 20 pounds, I did a 5 day clear liquid diet before surgery so it's really 11 days total for the 20 pounds. My follow up appt is this Friday I feel 90% normal hopefully getting off clear liquids at least...I want just one bite of something

    Getting sleeved in the morning!

Me too!! I'm so happy but so scared that something could go wrong. They just called and changed my time from 11am to 730am happy it's earlier so I can get it over with. Good luck!!!
  11. I just got approved this past Monday and will be having my surgery on Thursday the 23rd of this month. I'm so excited and so nervous, I have a 3 year old daughter and I'm a single mom 24/7 so she's all I have. Anyways my parents help out when I work, when I got the approval I told them both about my decision. My mom was nervous because of my daughter and my dad was totally fine with it. Today my mom calls me mad saying I should have discussed this with her and that my decisions affect everyone not just me and my daughter...she was making it about her and I'm trying to just brush it off because I really don't need any more stress then my everyday life and the surgery coming up in a week. How did you all handle people that might not have been the most supportive? I tried explaining it was my decision to make and has nothing to do with her or anyone else but she's still mad.

    Super Hangry

I am on day 3 of my pre op clear liquid diet and i have to admit today has been the easier of them so far....definitly not EASY but totally worth it and its true that it does get easier. Day 1 i was dying lol i was wishing i had one more day to eay whatever I wanted but that of course got me to where i am now. I agree the popsicles really do help and i go to bed early just so i dont crack at night. I have a 3 year old and making her food at first was hard but today has been so much better!! Can not wait for Thursday morning to get my sleeve done.
  13. My final doctor appointment is tomorrow and I asked her of she wanted to come to ask anything but she is not going to come. Can't wait to have it all over and stop worrying ????
  14. Thanks everyone. I understand the concern about my daughter, my mom helps me out a lot and of course she loves my daughter. That is my only hesitation because God forbid something happens to me from the surgery my parents would have to fight my daughter's father for her because he is a deadbeat dad but would try to get her just to be a jerk. I didn't want to tell anyone I'm embarrassed that I have gotten to this point but also so excited to start my new life with my little girl. I'm sure this will all blow over with my mom and I'm sure it's just because she's concerned but all I want right now is support, I'm already worried enough I don't need any other stress about it
  15. I never thought it would happen this quick! 2 weeks ago exactly I was sitting in the Doctors office waiting for my final visit and to have my insurance go through. Today I got the BEST call from Kelly at the office saying I was approved and to be ready for surgery in less then 2 weeks! April 23rd is the surgery date and I am nervous and excited all at the same time! I will go in for my pre surgery appointment this Thursday and have a 5 day clear liquid diet to begin this coming weekend. I have a one night stay in the hospital so I will be out Friday sometime. I am a single mom and my 3 year old daughter was asked to be a flower girl in a wedding that is April 25th....how much pain do you think I will be in or am i crazy to even think I will be attending this wedding 2 days after surgery??? I also have to have her at the rehearsal on friday night the day after my surgery...am i crazy??I had a c-section and know how painful it is, but I also know I was up and walking the day I had it.
  16. Thanks! Congrats to you too!
  17. Thanks! I am planning on leaving after my daughter gets announced to walk in at the beginning of the reception...no staying for dinner, drinks and desserts for me lol
