  1. Thanks. I not alone and have a call into my surgeon. He should be calling within about an hour. I'm going to get ready to go to the er as I think that's what he will direct me to do.
  2. Help! I've had bad diarrhea and vomiting for about 24 hours now. It's to the point where I can't drink anything without it coming back up moments later. Im also having pain in my gut and legs. It's too early to call my surgeon and I know he won't be able to see me today. What should I do? Should I just go to the er? I'm one month post op by the way. Thanks in advance!
  3. I'm about ten days past op and experiencing major reflux symptoms. Whenever I try to eat (I'm on puréed) or drink anything I'm in pain afterwards. It's to the point where I'm just throwing up any food I try to eat now. My doc didn't prescribe anything for reflux and he is out of town until 6/9 so they are little to no help. Any suggestions?
  4. I'm one week out today and regret seems to be a constant for me. I know in the long run its for the best but right now I just want to eat. Those of you who've been past the first six weeks, what tips do you have to get through those moments of regret? I find myself wanting to push my diet progression but I know that's not the right thing to do.
  5. I'm 6 days out and doing powerade zero, thinned Greek yogurt, Popsicles and blended and strained black bean soup. I have stabbing pain in the center of my chest after eating/drinking. I tried tums, Ice and sitting up but nothing helps. Any ideas? Can't call my doctor either as he is out of town until 6/9 (wish I knew that before surgery). Please help.
  6. No they didn't prescribe anything. I have found a few solutions though...sitting up helps a lot, not laying on my left side also helps. As for getting more fluids in, I'm now drinking powerade zero which is really good. I also blended some strawberries then strained them and made Popsicles. Totally takes the edge off when I'm feeling hungry
  7. Thanks. I got some lite cranberry juice today. I'll try it tonight.
  8. I am just 4 days post op and not taking fluids well. Everything seems to make me nauseous or causes acid reflux. I'm also starving! I've tried strained chicken noodle soup, water, decaf hot tea, and a premier protein shake. They all take hours to get just two ounces in and make me sick to my stomach. Any suggestions to help get over this hump? Thanks in advance!
