  1. Hello everyone I'm new to this site and I first want to introduce myself. I'm looking to have the RNY surgery by the end of the summer. I consider this to be a journey instead of a destination. I've been a heavyweight all my life, things got out of control around 2010 when my kidneys failed and I had aortic aneurysm dissection. I'm here and I'm fighting for my life baby. That's why my name is monster lol

    What are your reasons?

    1. Get a kidney transplant 2. More involved with my church 3. Tak my wife to Europe 4. Prepare to follow my kids as they go to college 5. BE a active member in my community
  4. I have read this thread several times, and could not understand why a person would feel like this to over weight people. I have not had my surgery yet, don't even have a date yet, but I did see some pretty large people out while my wife and I were out to lunch and shopping. I'm 6' 1" and 330 and I'm busting my ass on this liver reduction diet. I see people who are way larger than me, male and female and I ask myself the question, why don't they have the surgery to help them live a better life. I do understand people come from all different walks of life, but there is no excuse for not getting healthy. I don't understand what I'm feeling like this. I know it's a full time job taking care of myself, but come people!
  5. I meet with my psychologist Friday April 10th. This should be fun.

  7. Meet my Nut yesterday and he has started me on liver reduction diet. Here is some of my major problems. 1. I'm a snacker and I like to eat chips, fruit and candy. 2. I'm a sandwich eater. 3. Huge diet soda drinker. How can I survive? Ever since I met with my nut I have read and re-read this diet he wants me to work on. So if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears
  8. I'm right here with you guys. My Nut want me to loose 10 pounds before surgery. I have cut all the breads out. No candy fried foods. And 2/3 soda consumption. Some days are harder than other. But I stay focused and don't let this diet rule me.
