  1. I graduated from my BCBS 12 month program on Wednesday. Today I signed into my BCBS account and its official...I'm approved. I have the green light for my surgery! Come on October 19th. Eeeeekkkk. This has been a long time coming and now it's almost here.
  2. Costco has the above protein powder on sale. Is this a good protein powder for pre/post op? I plan on doing 2 shakes and a low cal meal the week of 10/12. I have surgery 10/19. Can I use it post op? Any feedback would be appreciated.
  3. I think I'm a little more emotional too. It's like the surgery is always in the back of my mind.
  4. I thought I was a loner!!!!! Thanks for letting me know someone else survived the 12 month program!!!
  5. So glad to know I'm not alone! Hoping once I get the surgery and join the losers bench it may pick up!
  6. I graduate tomorrow from my program with BCBS and my insurance request will be submitted. I'll flip a lid if I'm denied. I've waiting 12months, plus a day. I've done everything they've asked. I still qualify by their terms. If I'm denied---it won't be pretty. Praying your friend can get answers. That's crazy she's done her part for a year and they said no. My program was through BCBS with MyActiveHealth. I couldn't just have 12 months of MD visits. She needs to ask for her member handbook and find out exactly what was required. Did she have to use "their" people for the 12 month program maybe verses her MD?
  7. I am working on the 12 month BCBS program. Did she do the once a month phone call with her coach?
  8. I'm about to graduate from my 12 month (plus a day) insurance program. I never thought it would get here.
  9. Following/saving for next month ????
  10. I was told I needed to be off the phentermine for 2 weeks. Every surgeon is different. Definitely check on that with your md.
  11. I'm planning on taking 10 days off work. I'm a teacher. I worry about being exhausted!
  12. I think this is more what I meant; however, it is paired with some mixed emotions about missing food for a time.
  13. What a beautiful memory!!!! Thank you for sharing it. Thoughts and prayers for you both.
  14. I'm worried about thanksgiving too! Lol
  15. I've given up fries too!!!!! Good luck on your journey.
  16. I think maybe my title is slightly wrong and midleading! I'm not binge eating or over eating at any meal. It's more feeling slightly sad about missing food and very meticulous planning my meals before surgery. I'm not over indulging on anything, I'm still counting calories, and making sure I eat high protein. I guess it's the reality I'm having surgery next month. My YEAR long insurance requirement made it hard to think this day would ever come & now I'm soooo close. I'm dealing with a lot of mixed emotions. Thanks for all the feedback.
  17. Thanks for your encouragement. Keep me posted on your surgery! We can be buddies!!!
  18. Thanks for the encouragement!
  19. I'm still pre-op, but def worry about missing food.
  20. Yum! We had steak and shrimp last night.
