Miralax vs. Milk of magnesia or others? Help.
Milk of Mag usually works within a couple of hours. My first steps were MOM, then an enema, and a daily stool softener after that (with your doctors approval). I hope you feel better. That's no fun!

Size XXX
Don't be too hard on yourself. I'll assume your nail tech is Asian. If so, they're usually really small and products outside of the U.S. generally run smaller! I would love to be at your weight right now. You may not be where you want to be, but you sure are not where you used to be....or maybe you would have been heavier. Give yourself the credit you deserve and keep up the good work!

Omeprazole?
At almost 5 months post op, I still take it. I find that if I don't I get reflux after around 3-4 days. It helps with the stomach acid and when I take it I can better differentiate head hunger and real hunger. You should follow your surgeons instructions, it's not their first rodeo. In addition, a little discomfort now may help you avoid a lot later. The best to you!

Did you tell anyone?
I told my parents, sisters and 3 close friends. My husband had his surgery 3 weeks prior to mine. I said in another post similar to this one that people expect you to be suddenly slim. I didn't want others expectations imposed on me, along with my own. 70+ pounds down, now I tell the people that I feel led to tell.

Disney and Pre-Op Diet
What about warming the food up at the hotel and keeping it in an insulted tote in the car? If all else fails, Quest bars and protein (meat) in the park! Please don't let this ruin your trip or surgery. The best to you.

African American vsgers!
@@lachellove that sounds exactly like what I did. My thoughts are if I don't have to style is daily, that should reduce the possibility of more shedding. The best to you!

African American vsgers!
@@lachellove There's nothing that says you can't. However, I started shedding about 3 months out. It's worked out pretty well for me considering I had been natural for about little over a year. I couldn't take it anymore and got a relaxer. I've chosen to relax my hair about every 12 weeks or so and I'm wearing a sewn in weave. I am also careful not use a lot of heat. The shedding is there but not too bad so far. I guess the answer to your question is that everyone is different. So try to figure out what is best for you. Hey, you may not even have shedding! Make sure you get your protein in and take your vitamins. I also take extra biotin.

Body shapers?
My surgeon said it was ok to wear a light shaper. I wear a Spanx to work everyday. I made sure I asked if it was ok. I do make sure it's not too restrictive and it surely not as tight as a waist trainer. It helps with the wiggles, until my skin tightens up.

Bra sizes!
At the beginning of my journey I was a 44DD. I'm now a 36D and shrinking. I loved my "girls" and hope they don't disappear small than a C cup. I hope that doesn't sound vain, but I think they help give me a curvier shape.

Does everyone experience hairloss?
I'm 4 months post op and noticed hair loss about 6 weeks ago. I have relaxed hair and now I'm going longer between relaxers. I'm down about 70 pounds. I'd do it all again if given the choice. I can buy hair via clip ins, wigs, etc. My motto is "It's only hair, it'll grow back!"

First BM after surgery?
After a week, my surgeon had me take MiraLax. It took 3 days and an enema from there. Please don't get to that point.
