  1. I used Dr. Adam Smith. I highly recommend him. He also has nutrition and psych in house. And he also has people who come in to do his stress tests at the same office.
  2. Good luck! I hope you are able to get sleeved!
  3. Well, I will take one Colace a day until I go. It's taken 3 days before I actually went.
  4. Colace is a good stool softner to take. I took Milk of Mag once and I'll never do it again. If I start having problems with going I take one Colace a day until I 'go'. No cramping or anything.
  5. How can he afford the surgery, but not WW or copays? ????
  6. Mine told me not to drink for 15 mins before and 15 mins after. Each NUT is different.
  7. Even when I was 316lbs I wore Victoria Secret underwear. They have great stretch and several different styles. I'm wearing my a pair of reg briefs now. I've lost 102lbs so my belly has shrunk up some, but I've always worn my underwear under my belly. At my highest weight I was a size 24. Maybe you can give them a try. I love them. Good luck!
  8. I've lost a 2 month old horse, but I can't wait till I lose the complete Oxford Dictionary!
  9. No they said point blank no protein shakes, no adding protein for flavor and no isopure. I called my nutritionist and she said if that's what he said then she is saying one shake a day and that's it. And I agree I think I picked the wrong surgeon You can always change surgeon's for aftercare. You're not stuck with him.
  10. I've lost 102lbs so far. I can't believe I was that other person.
  11. You should be getting in protein everyday. You won't start getting it from actual "food" sources until week 4 Week 1 was clear liquids so I got protein from Isopure protein drink Week 2 was full liquids so I got protein from protein shakes and Greek yogurt Weeks 3 was purées so I got protein from protein shakes and mixed in unflavored protein powder into thinks like mashed potatoes. Week 4 was soft foods so I got protein from things like eggs and soft chicken in addition to the sources noted above. Week 5 I started regular foods so I got protein from meat and protein smoothies here and there. Protein oatmeal balls, Greek yogurt, protein oatmeal. Gotta get creative!
  12. I'm sure they just need 6 documented weights. Congrats on losing 10lbs! You're doing great! You'll be sleeved in no time!
  13. My doctor never set a goal for me. The only appt where goal weight was discussed I was asked what I wanted to weigh. I chose 150 and plan to work towards that!
  14. I thought Isopure was terrible too. I haven't touched the stuff since my first week post op. The 2 bottles I had leftover I gave to a friend that was having the surgery.
  15. It's dependent on your insurance. But my first appt just to see if I qualified was Feb. 11th and my surgery was March 25th.
  16. Emailed my surgeons office to see if I could get the before picture they took of me. They sent it. I'm grossed out. And so happy I don't look that way anymore.
  17. Omg, I emailed my surgeons office to get a copy of the before picture they took of me. I'm just so...ugh...grossed out!! HW: 316 SW: 282 CW: 214.8
  18. 215.2 As of yesterday I've lost 100lbs! Yay!
  19. That was March this year, 4 months ago. WOW!!!!! I am now 342 and still have 4 more months of a supervised diet before surgery in 2016 if approved. I am hoping to lose down too the low 300's before surgery so I can get to goal by my 61st birthday in 2017 You can def do it! I will keep my fingers crossed that you are approved! It has fallen off super quickly. Way faster than I would have ever thought it would have. Losing has slowed, but I'm ok with that so maybe my skin can catch up. I can definitely tell I'll have lose skin in all the expected places..arms, inner thighs, and tummy. Small price to pay though! I've also started losing my hair. I can't tell just yet, and praying I won't have any obvious signs that people will notice. Here's hoping!!
  20. My surgery date was 3/25. This amount includes pre-op and 13lbs I lost before I started this process. I'm currently 216 and my goal weight is 150 so I still have 66lbs to go. Next milestone is to reach onederland! Only 16.2lbs to go lol
  21. As of today I am 100lbs down!!
