  1. I'll be getting sleeved by dr Adam smith in 4 days! Staff is very nice!
  2. My surgeon says deodorant is ok. No face cream, no nail polish. Completely free of everything. After you shampoo and condition then bathe in the dial soap so that it's the last thing on your body. My surgeons office actually gave us special packets of soap to bathe with the night before and morning of.
  3. I'm sure you'll do great! Keep me updated!
  4. My doctor said nothing over 15lbs. I'll probably have to pick her up a couple of times, but definitely hoping my 11yr old can help me out. She'll be going to the baby sitter everyday. So it's just a matter of getting her out to the car each morning. We don't have any family near us, but we also haven't told anyone about or surgery except for my husbands brother. And that was only because we needed someone to pick up the 11 yr old from school. Baby sitter has said she'll watch the baby later for us.
  5. Go ahead and taste them over this weekend. I didn't and I was gagging on the premier shake my first day and had me thinking I couldn't do this. Figure out what you can live with that way you know for Monday. I went into GNC and the guy pointed me to the one he used and it turned out to taste just like chocolate milk. Plus they have a return policy that if I don't like it I can bring the open product back and exchange it! Good luck to you too! We are both in the home stretch now!
  6. I used reward points at my job to buy a Fitbit Flex and it arrived today! Let's see if I can even come close ton 10,000 steps a day. Also had my psych visit today. It went really well. She said that she had no doubt that I would succeed. Really has me excited. Tomorrow will be exactly one week till my surgery!
  7. I have to admit I am so jealous of your short pre-op diet!! I'm on day 6 of 14. Tomorrow will be the half way point. I'm doing my best to stay positive, and my hubby is being so supportive. It's hard though when you have your 11yr old sit down with his sandwich that basically looks like a honey bbq chicken sandwich from whataburger (if you have those). Just gotta keep chugging!
  8. Mine is supposed to be outpatient. I'm supposed to get there really in the morning and be released by that evening. This way it's more affordable for patients since it's less time. Mine is also being done at a surgery center and not a full blown hospital.Oh okay! Wow that's awesome! Especially because it looks like u have babies, it's been so hard to be away from mine, all I want to do is hold them, we live about 35 minutes away from the hospital.... Yes I do have babies. 11 yr old step son and a 9 month old and being away will be very hard! Congrats on your leak test!
  9. Thank you @@arrical8 ! Weighed myself this morning and down another pound. Have lost 15.4 now. Yesterday evening was particularly hard.. Husband made chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner since that's what our 11 year old requested.. It looked pretty good.. couldn't help it and had one nugget and one french fry.. that seemed to satisfy me even though I wanted more. Back on track this morning. Had my Protein shake and have been trying to drink more Water. 8 more days!

  11. Congrats! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well! Are you going home today or tomorrow?Aww Thank you! ???????? if there are no complications I should be discharged tomorrow That's still considered outpatient right? Since your surgery was later in the day? My surgery is in exactly a week. I'd like to keep up with you and your progress since we our surgeries are so close!
  12. I have an 11 year old and told him a couple weeks ago that I would be having surgery to lose weight. I was very honest and didn't hide anything. He told me that he didn't think I was fat and didn't think I needed surgery (what a sweet boy) but has been fine with it.
  13. Well, had my stress test today and all went well. Since the stress test was done by a third party (but still in the doc office) I wasn't weighed. I'll be back at the office tomorrow for a pysch visit, but I doubt they'll weigh me then either. Tomorrow when I wake up there will only be 8 days left!
  14. Congrats! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well! Are you going home today or tomorrow?
  15. Thanks for thinking of me @ladycook9713...I had to do only liquids the night before and nothing to eat at midnight prior to surgery, so ull probably want an early time if u can! bur I didn't have any say in that matter lol I have 20 minutes until I go back! Im all prayed up! Hoping you are in recovery now doing well. Hope to hear from you soon!
  16. This will be me.. I've always used straws to avoid tooth pain!
  17. I haven't had surgery yet, but at my preop they encouraged the use of straws...
  18. Hopefully you are out of surgery and doing well! I didn't even think about my surgery time mattering.. but now I want it to be first thing in the morning so I don't have to be super hungry or thirsty!
  19. Day 5 I made a Protein shake just before we left the house to go to Trader's Village. After we left I realized I had forgotten it and we were too far to turn around. I had my husband stop at a gas station and I got some beef jerkey. Not on pre-op diet, but high in protein. I was still under 700 for the day. I actually only consumed 540! And on top of that we walked 2 miles at Traders Village. This morning I weighed myself and I'm down 14.4lbs. I have a doctors appointment today for a stress test so we'll see how that goes. I'm worried about getting tired quickly since I'm not consuming very much. But I guess we'll just wait and see. 9 days till surgery!
  20. Where are you at in Texas? I'm in the Dallas area.
  21. Congrats yall! Can't wait to see posts tomorrow after you're in recovery! Let us know how it goes. My surgery is on the 25th so I'm not too far behind you!
  22. What a lucky day!!
  23. Ladycook9713 - currently doing my 2 week liquid diet. Surgery date is 3/25
  24. Have you started your liquid diet? I'm on day 4.
