  1. I have to be there at 6:30am, and my surgery is 8:30!
  2. @ Thank you! I got the call the afternoon, be at the surgery center at 6:30, and my surgery is at 8:30. In about 14 hours I will be sleeved. I'm so scared! But my husband will be there the whole time so that helps me calm a little. Gonna go get my bag packed!
  3. Had to pick my son up from school.. fever, body aches.. so hoping he doesn't have the flu.. Keeping my distance from him.. last thing I need is to get sick the day before surgery.
  4. Are these things I should be doing? Can I just make a doctor app to do all this? I'm sure you could go to your primary and ask about getting some of these tests done to make sure you are healthy enough for surgery.. and you can always do nutritional and pysch counseling yourself
  5. Some insurance requires it. Some doctors require it. My insurance didn't require pysch, nutrition, stress test, EGD, etc... But my surgeon required those things. He wants to set each person up for success. Pysch to make sure you are mentally prepared for it, nutritinal counseling to make sure you are aware of how the pre-op diet works and what your diet will be like after surgery, stress test to make sure your heart is ok for anesthesia and surgery and to make sure you don't have any blood clots, and an EGD to make sure that all is good down there and check for a hernia so that there aren't any surprises. It covers his butt, and makes it a safer surgery for the patient.
  6. That's awesome! My surgery is tomorrow. I've lost 20lbs on the pre-op diet. Can't wait!
  7. @@mechele8 All I had yesterday was an Isopure Protein drink, a Jello cup, and a little broth... I slept "ok" last night... but I feel so weak today.. I'll probably be leaving work early today as well. As of today I have lost 20lbs on this pre-op diet Should be getting the call sometime today about what time I need to be at the hospital. I'm very nervous, but ready to get this show on the road and start this new journey.
  8. Tomorrow. Holy crap this is tomorrow. I am so hungry lol
  9. Thanks. I have a regular chocolate protein shake that I like. But these last few days have to be clear liquids so I can't have it. So ready to be done.
  10. I have an IUD, no one said anything to me about stopping birth control :-/
  11. I'm taking a comfy gown to wear home a pillow for the ride home all my meds ipad charger toiletries paperwork gasx chapstick probably more, just can't think of it right now
  12. I just didn't worry about all that business. I don't hit the button to complete my diary each day so I don't have to see the message about calories.. and I don't look at the percentages.. I just turn my phone sideways and look at the totals and make sure I'm hitting them.
  13. The only times I cheated was for something that was high in Protein like beef jerkey, or chicken tender with no breading.. I want to chew so badly..I'm on a clear liquid diet today and tomorrow. I just want to go crawl in bed and sleep until it's Wednesday..
  14. I'm hoping for no worse than my csection, which was 9 months ago. My surgery is this Wednesday! Eek!
  15. Been almost a week since I've updated. As this liquid diet is progressing I've become more crabby and had more cravings. I have lost 18lbs though. These last 2 days is clear liquid and I have no idea how I'm gonna do it. I have this Isopure drink and it has a terrible after taste. I can only imagine that this is what gasoline tastes like. Gotta get my bag packed. Still no clue what time I need to be there. Apparently they don't call until the day before.
  16. These last 2 days are all clear fluids. I have no idea how I'm going to make it through. I have an Isopure drink in Grape Frost and it is not so great. My husband and I used to sit and watch the food channel on the weekends. But could not do that this weekend. Bag isn't packed yet. Doing laundry and running some errands today and tomorrow to have everything ready. But I made sure I had gas-x strips cause I'm so scared of the gas pains.
  17. Reviving for more opinions! I had a c-section in June 2014 and my sleeve surgery is in 2 days. Hoping that if I can make it through the csection pain that the sleeve won't be as difficult as I have it in my mind.
  18. Great weightloss! I'm on day 13 of mine and I've lost 18!
  19. Thank you for posting! I hope everything goes as smoothly for me. I've had a c-section so I'm hoping the pain from the incisions isn't any worse than that. And that the gas pains are minimal.
  20. Just Monday and Tuesday left now! Clear fluids only for the next 2 days. Gonna stink!
  21. I have a mix of emotions going on. Scared of something going wrong or not waking up or that I won't be successful afterwards. Excited at this new chance at life I'm getting and the thought of buying regular clothes not "plus". Nervous about the pain afterwards. I've been so crabby lately from being hungry. I stood in the kitchen pretty much depressed while I waited for my step son to finish eating McDonalds.
  22. Good idea! Here is the link to my surgeons pre-op diet. http://fortworthlapband.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/09-Preop-diet.pdf
  23. Sunday is my last day of the regular liquid diet, Monday starts all clear liquid diet. Also on Tuesday. Then surgery on Wednesday. I wanna chew so badly. Lol I'm so jealous of the people who are allowed to have a lean cuisine meal on their preop diet.
  24. Figured all of us who have March 25th surgery dates could support each other during the last few days and the start of our new lives. I'm OVER this liquid diet! Starting Monday I have to go on all clear liquid diet. Just 4 days. Just very ready. I've lost 18lbs so far on this pre-op diet. How is everyone else doing?
  25. I have the same surgery date as well. So ready for the preop diet to be over with. The last two days are going to be the worst because it's all clear liquids!
