  3. I was back at work full time after 1 week. If you follow your doctors instructions and take your vitamins your should have the energy. Only you know what is best for you! I personally would not cancel . Life will always throw you curve balls.
  4.    Justoperated reacted to a post in a topic: Dumping How it feels like?
  5. Dumping feelings like your stomach is upset and that you have to use the restroom NOW. When you get to sit down to release the pain, everything comes out fast REALY fast. Sometimes it is bright yellow in color as the food moves through your body so fast. You learn to recognize the signs and pain of the symptoms so that you can prevent an accident.
  6. The first week out I lost about 3 lbs...now on week 4 post op and I'm about 9 lbs down. I'm not going to stress though as my clothes are fitting me better and I can get into outfits that I could not in years. Since I began this journey last sept I am almost 50 lbs lighter. I'm happy knowing that the lbs are gone forever!!!
  7. I have not kept my surgery a secret. I find no reason to at my age 54. I did this for me and no one else. If they have something negative to say about me or my decision to have the surgery that is their problem. I am open and share the good and bad thing for those around me that are considering having the surgery. I do have lots of positive support at work and at home which does help me stay on track.
  8. I was told not to eat red meat for 6 months
  9. I was off work for 6 days after my surgery
  10. Wow I find it interesting the information that we all receive from our Drs is different. I have been advised that I can NEVER eat bread, rice, or pasta again
