So tell me how you REALLY feel...
My BFF shared with me that she uses her loose tummy skin to *ahem* "caress" her husband when she's in certain positions. She treats it as an extension of herself...he loves it, and she is unashamed/unapologetic about it. I think it's all about attitude.

I never thought I'd be saying this...
Ann, I appreciate your kind words. I hadn't considered how admitting my struggle was a positive thing.???? I want to be successful. I know I can get there. I also realize I can't do this on my own. The commitment to three years of counseling is genius! I'm going to start looking for a counselor now that I can work with. I also have discovered that I have really powerful feelings bottled up inside me. Now that I'm not eating food whenever/however I want to, it's like a tidal wave of emotion at times. Am I the only one who has this happening to me?

I never thought I'd be saying this...
...but the pre-op diet has helped me to discover that my food addiction is HELLA strong! I know many of you will say that I need to think hard about what im doing. Trust me, I have. I'm not complaining, I am simply remarking on how incredibly trained I have become to using food to address issues. I've joined OA, I'm reading books, im logging my food (the good, the bad, and the ugly) in my fitness pal. My eyes are wide open...maybe for the first time. How should I deal with this? I'd appreciate some feedback from all of you regarding this issue. XO, Ms. A

Weird pet related question
You were MIA, and now you're home, but your dog knows something's up. Give it time. You'll have your snuggle pup back soon.

Pre-op liquid diet
I am beginning to worry about the liquid diet! Are you able to drink hot tea? I think if I were able to drink hot tea I would be able to manage.

Holy cow! That's amazing! Congratulations!- Why do men do this?
I certainly understand the imbedded biases that men (and women for that matter) carry toward anyone who falls outside the range of ordinary. I agree that heavier people are in some ways invisible, too. I also think that in our everyday social lives there isn't really have an acceptable way to talk about a person's weight loss. Most conversations are clumsy at best...and blunt at their worst. Try to be open to the possibility that people have become drawn to you and perhaps can't really articulate why. Don't spend one more second of your life building walls...and please don't disqualify others based on your hunch. That makes you no better. XO, Ms. A- "You're Melting"
ProjectMe: I honestly think most folks haven't the slightest notion of what a healthy BMI actually looks like.- Mother disapproves
You will be ok. You're doing this for yourself, and that's what is most important. She will come around, especially when the hard parts are over with.- Not so victorious NSV
Oh, to have itty bitty t*tt*es!!! Looking forward to that problem!!!!- One thing
I needed to hear that!????- Post op pain?
Wow! When were you able to stand for long periods of time?- I DID IT! I DID IT!
Hahaha! Great post! Congrats!- One year sugerversary
You look great!- At the starting line...
So, today I went to my first appointment. I got my official BMI, measurements, lab work, and met with the PA. I Learned that my BMI allows me to skip the six-month waiting period. I am nervous and excited. It's like I won the lottery, or something. I'm trying to keep myself in check. I am going to the library right now to pick up books on CBT to support my work making the mental shift. Wish me luck! XO, Ms. A - Post op pain?
