  1. This is happening to me as well. Nearly 7 weeks out as well.
  2. I am 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and I feel great except tired when I go for a walk. On my fitness pal I was showing I was eating under 400 calories a day. I am now a bit over 500 and hoping that will give me more energy. I am on a full liquids diet for another 10 days. Hoping I get more pep in my step soon.
  3. Very inspirational. Thank you. You look great!!
  4. I get to the hospital at 6 and surgery should begin at 8. I hope all goes well for you tomorrow. We are only a few hours away!!!i have to be there at 6 as well.
  5. Don't know where you are from but Dress Barn has some good shapewear
  6. I had my fun weekend last week. Today I skipped a work luncheon. It would be too hard to be there as it is day 5 of my opti-fast diet. It is not that bad but I think I am a little bit depressed. I want to be the person so excited that surgery is so near but I think I am scared and it is over powering excitement.
  7. How is everyone doing, feeling? Getting close.
  8. I wonder the same thing. Hope to lose around 130 lbs. At 50 will I look 60. I should have done this when I was 35!!!!
  9. Optifast diet starts tomorrow. Protein shakes only. Going for dinner soon. The last time I will be chewing for a while. ????
  10. Hi. Mine is June 22. I feel the same as you although I am 50 and at 270. Highest weight ever. Pre op diet starts next Monday Good luck to you.
  11. June 22 for me. RNY scheduled but may have sleeve depending on surgeons findings
  12. My surgery is in 3 weeks. I have developed a knee injury and am hoping it is better by my surgery date. As I read these posts and count my ailments, knee, planters faschietis, diabetes, high blood pressure, Gerd, high cholesterol I am sure hoping I will feel motivated to exercise. I am 50 years old and I know 70 year olds who are more physically active than me. Thanks for all positive posts. You are inspirational.
  13. thanks for making me feel a bit better. Keep me posted on your progress. All the best.
  14. For me it was the fact that I lost 80lbs once and gained it all back. My Dr always thought I could do it again myself but it just never happened. I have Gerd, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and am now diabetic. Lately my knees have been aching and I seem to have lost all the energy I once had even though I have always been heavy and was always active. I am 50 and have a great husband, job, and a good life. I wake up every day and the first thing I think of is "yup I am fat, yes I am achey' and let's take all those pills!! One month until surgery. I am 95% sure I am going through with it. Just scared.
  15. Thank you for your inspirational story. All the best to you on your journey to Britain. Please keep posting.
  16. I feel exactly the same way. This is my only way to good health. I just fear complications ????
  17. This is good. The early June's can share their wisdom and those of us at the end can be buddy's ????
  18. Opti-fast diet for two weeks starting June 8. Four shakes a day, one cup of broth and sugar free jello and Popsicles. That's it for two weeks. I hear it's rough but I don't want my liver getting in the way so shrink away. I should be working on that now but I am busy saying farewell to some bad foods that I will not bring back into my life after this surgery. Now that the June people are posting it does seem so close and so real. Wishing you all well and that we stay in touch!
  19. June 22. Excited, scared, and everything in between. Was waiting for some June people!!!
  20. You guys are all great. Thanks!
  21. Great question. How long until you got up to walk? Where are you now in this journey? I keep saying "if I survive" so I guess I am a pessimist too!!,????.
