  1. I agree!!!! Eating is an exhausting process...remember being excited about meals?? The anticipation? Lol then the guilt... Coupled with health issues is why we can all relate and had the surgery. I soooooo miss drinking fast. Nothing like getting that thirst instantly quenched.

  4. New friends.... If they aren't with you they are against you. Think about it, they have always treated you shady anyway. Not hanging out with you because you were a BBW? They can all go to hell... In an oven. Sweetie, friends don't treat friends like that.
  5. Lololol at the responses! I would have spoke loudly and said don't worry about my weight, I'm fine. I'm more concerned about you, you don't have long...how are you feeling? Is your hearing aid working today? I'd be that "bitch"
  6. You're right catdaddy and Adrienne! Sip sip sip.... I used to be able to down a 16 oz bottle of water in 2 mins max... Those were the days lol
  7. I fear it. It's depressing but we need food to survive.
  8. Hey yall I have a question. Do some of you who recently had the surgery find yourselves hating food? Eating has become such a chore. I never know what to expect when I eat. Maybe it goes down smooth, maybe it doesn't. Who is to say? I find myself getting overwhelmed on days like today when I have to force myself to eat. One thing that I loathe about the surgery is drinking. I hate sipping my ice cold water. But damn if I won't sip Lolol you pay if you don't sip. How does water hurt? ???? anyway, I hope I'm not alone with the struggle with food. It feels like I had to dump my fiancé and now we are trying to be friends which hardly ever works lol. Thoughts?
  9. Girl me too!! It's long overdue. Thanks mama!
  10. Djmohr, thank you so much. I'm going to skip the tempura. It's not worth getting sick. Chicken and I are fond of each other so I will stick with that. Thank you ????
  11. My mom fought my surgery the entire five month process up until the morning on the way to the hospital. She even had my brother call the night before to tell me why he was against it ????. Four weeks later and 44 pounds lighter, I'm my own woman. Do what is best for you!
  12. Yaaaaaaaaay!!!! So excited for you ????
  13. Thanks for replying! What do you mean breaking in it? Like it would be easier to eat?
  14. I need help! Lol I am 5 weeks out from getting my RNY. Thankfully, I have had no problems. However, I'm venturing out with a few of my girls this weekend for the first time since November and we are going to a Japanese restaraunt. I am on an unrestricted diet so I can eat freely yet wisely. I'm excited yet terrified. I'm thinking about getting chicken or seafood. What do yall think of tempura? Or white rice? I haven't tried any rice due to reading disaster stories here. I'm afraid of rice but I feel like a night out with my friends once every two or three months shouldn't be an issue. What if I tried the rice? Am I overthinking this? I've done so well! I'm not worried about going carb crazy because I'm so focused. I dropped over 40 pounds my first month. I just want to finally enjoy myself. I deserve it. Thoughts?
  15. I can honestly say that I underestimated the pain I would experience. But, i had a pain pump and very kind and responsive nurses. I am 4 weeks out today. You shouldn't look at what everyone else experienced. Just listen to your own body and act accordingly
  16. Damn it! Sorry! They wouldn't cancel it for 3 lbs and you still have over a week to lose...
  17. I wouldn't sweat it. I'm sure they won't cancel it
  18. Nope! I started my period two days before my procedure. I told the nurse and she gave me operating room undies with a pad and 45 mins later I was in surgery.
  19. It's a huge decision! Good for you for making sure you and your family are ready for it. May God continue to lead and guide you ????
  20. Ignore that post! Lol it didn't feel like fire ???? I'm still getting used to posting. But mine was in for like two weeks. I think it depends on your size. I saw a man who had the same procedure with 3. Mine didn't hurt when she took it out. I was too happy to have that wretched thing out of me. You will do just fine. You will safety pin it to your gown and it will be gone before you know it!! Get excited!! This is a pivotal time in your life
  21. I had mine for what felt like fire
  22. It will get better honey. I had mine 12/23 and cried for days. Hell I kinda still cry but not for pain. Be sure to rest rest rest! Take your pain Meds, vitamins and water. You will feel better when that wretched jpg thing is out too.
